Even more new MKVI Forge World Horus Heresy upgrades, this time for the Alpha Legion, have been revealed by Games Workshop.
These will be cast in resin from Forge World, so if you were hoping for all-new plastics for your models, it looks like we won’t be getting everything in plastic for Horus Heresy after all…
Last time they came out and said the upgrades would be MTO; however, they just said pre-order on these. So who knows, maybe you could actually score these before the 180 days.

The serpentine iconography evokes the Legion’s adoption of the hydra as a symbol of their protean ways, reforming after every setback and returning with more teeth than before. Bladed, scale-like ornamentation adds a sinister Helac aesthetic to the sleek lines of your beaked helms.
These are definitely interesting and have a lot of Alpha Legion flavor! These aren’t the best we’ve seen but in no way the worst!
The writhing, multi-headed logo of the Alpha Legion adorns their sculpted shoulder pads – perfect for anyone who balked at painting this intricate insignia with freehand alone. Spruce up your MKVI Tactical Squads, sprinkle in other upgrade parts, and your slippery soldiers will be ready to be fielded as any number of unit types found in Liber Hereticus – Traitor Legiones Army Book.
The shoulder pads are really cool and with all the detail, should make your units stand out as true Alpha Legion soldiers!
