Here is a first look at all the new Warhammer 40k Dark Angels, Horus Heresy, and Black Library releases hitting pre-order worldwide!

Games Workshop has some good news for hobbyists who want to buff up their Dark Angels chapter! They have revealed tons of new 40k miniatures coming to pre-order on Saturday, February 24th, 2024, around 1 p.m. EST here in the States.

New Dark Angels, Black Library, & HH: FIRST LOOK

The new Dark Angels releases for Warhammer 40k include a Codex Supplement, new models, upgrades, and more that should delight Dark Angels hobbyists who have been waiting for this pre-order since the Deathwing Assault box was released!

There are innumerable secrets to be kept and many Fallen to be hunted across the galaxy, and the Dark Angels are ready to spring into action with next week’s pre-orders. There is also a new Consul for the Horus Heresy, and a selection of Black Library books incoming.

Codex Supplement Dark Angels

Inside this 96-page hardback book, you’ll find:
– History and background of the Sons of the Lion, from their origins in the Age of Darkness to the return of their Primarch.
– Atmospheric artwork, shedding light on the darkest corners of this most enigmatic of Chapters
– 16 datasheets to add to those found in Codex: Space Marines, including the Dark Talon, Land Speeder Vengeance, and more
– Three themed Detachments, the Unforgiven Task Force, Inner Circle Task Force, and Company of Hunters, each with their own special rules
– Crusade rules to show how your characters plunge deeper into the Chapter’s mysteries as they hunt the Fallen
– Combat Patrol rules to take command of the Vengeful Brethren in fast-paced games

New rules are always a highlight release for that faction’s players, so this will surely be a big one!

Asmodai, Master of Repentance

The Dark Angels’ hunt for the Fallen is ceaseless, but few pursue it with such burning ardour as Asmodai, Master of Repentance. As chief Interrogator-Chaplain, Asmodai is a master at extracting confessions and rousing his fellow battle brothers with his litanies of hate. He comes with two head choices – hood up or down.

Asmodai gets a sweet new model, which is great for long-term fans. You can also build him with or without the spooky smoke.

Belial, Grand Master of the Deathwing

Belial is a paragon of the Chapter with countless deeds to his name. Even amongst his brethren, he is a warrior of prodigious skill, fighting with the Sword of Silence and a master-crafted storm bolter. Just like Asmodai, he comes with two head choices – hood up or down, but he doesn’t hide his face behind a mask.

Belial was originally released in the Deathwing Assault, making this his first separate release for those still waiting.

Inner Circle Companions

Even amongst the Dark Angels, the Inner Circle Companions are a mysterious cadre of elite warriors. They operate in eerie silence, cutting a path through the enemy’s toughest units with their Calibanite greatswords, and protecting their commanders with vengeful zeal. Each miniature builds one of two poses, with two heads, two swords, and two backpack topper options each. It also contains a Dark Angels transfer sheet with 348 decals.

Deathwing Knights

The Dark Angels 1st Company are all veterans, of whom only the most skilled became Deathwing Knights. Grim warriors armed with sacred relic weapons from the Chapter’s armouries, they face down the direst threats and bring the most obdurate Fallen to heel.

The Knight Master can be armed with your choice of a great weapon of the Unforgiven or a relic weapon, while the Deathwing Knights can wield power weapons or maces of absolution. The kit comes with head options, a teleport homer, a Watcher in the Dark, and a Dark Angels Transfer sheet containing 348 transfers

Deathwing Terminators are a cornerstone of Dark Angels lists, making this a huge deal for fans who want to update or start a new Dark Angels army.

Dark Angels Upgrades & Transfers

Add Dark Angels flavour to your Space Marines with this packed Upgrades and Transfers set. It contains a selection of components, including heads, arms, torsos, weapons, shoulder pads covering a variety of armour patterns, plus other accessories and relics, and a Watcher in the Dark. You also get an Upgrade transfer sheet with 217 decals which is different to the one found in the Inner Circle Companion and Deathwing Knight boxes.

Dark Angels Combat Patrol

The Unforgiven return to the world of Combat Patrol with a revamped box for this fast and furious Warhammer 40,000 game mode. This box contains 19 miniatures, including a Captain in Gravis Armour, three Bladeguard Veterans, five Hellblasters, and 10 Intercessors. On top of that you’ll get two Dark Angels Primaris Upgrade sprues, and three transfer sheets containing 221 decals each – note that these are different from the Dark Angels Upgrades and Transfers described above.

This does have the older upgrade sprue, but it still lets you a decent number of units in one buy. We broke down all the values of the new Dark Angels Combat Patrol box here.

The Dark Angels know how to accessorise. Make sure you aren’t caught short at the table with the Dark Angels Dice – 16 themed dice cast in bone white with green pips and the Chapter Logo on the 6 face. The Datasheet Cards complete your collection with 20 datasheets – 16 mainline Warhammer 40,000 units, and four Combat Patrol cards) with gold foil edges.

Lazarus: Enmity’s Edge

Lazarus and the Dark Angels’ 5th Company have been summoned to the Knight World of Reis by Supreme Grand Master Azrael to honour an ancient promise. The warp is encroaching on realspace, and an ancient evil is brewing, but Reis consumes itself with internecine conflict and pointless politicking. It’s up to Lazarus to cut through the confusion and help his brothers fulfil their oaths in Lazarus: Enmity’s Edge by Gary Kloster. This book will be available to pre-order in hardback, eBook and audiobook formats.

Find out the truth (of a sort) of the Fallen in Cypher: Lord of The Fallen by John French. This tale is a first-hand account of a breakout from an imperial jail by the most unreliable of narrators… Cypher.
