There’s been one Eldar, in particular, giving us a block of text for each GW preview. As time has gone on given the new models previewed, we’re starting to get a bigger picture of what’s going on. See the latest!
Ylocu Shaie’s Grim Vision
Going from earliest to latest, this is what the Aeldari Visionary has been saying.
Obviously, it’s easy to see that the Aeldari’s worst enemy is at hand. Slaanesh is beginning to feast more and more and grow in power. There is an old legend that tells about Slaanesh rising up to fight the Ynnari. Could this be what is going to happen next?
Here, it looks like the Aeldari might have waited too long to act on the current events that are unfolding in the galaxy. From Chaos growing in strength and Aeldari turning against one another, they seem fragmented and doomed.
There is some kind of faction under a black banner (maybe the Drukhari?) that are trying to seek reunification through death. With the new Drazhar model revealed, we can see he’s killed quite a few Aeldari in his day.
And finally, the visionary is questioning the motive behind the faction wanting to seek destruction. If you didn’t know, Aeldari souls immediately go to Slaanesh to be tortured and eaten when they die. Unless they have some way out, like a spirit stone of course. The fact that Drazhar has shattered spirit stones draped across all kinds of bits from his armor, he could be one of the masterminds behind this rebirth through annihilation.
We could be wrong here but do the Eldar think they can DDoS Slaanesh with all of their souls at once?
From the latest video from Warhammer TV, it looks like all of the Aeldari sub-factions are involved in this….civil war?
Drazhar: Latest Model Revealed
Poised in a ready stance atop some Aeldari ruins, Drazhar bears The Executioner’s Demiklaives in each hand. Speaking of which, to ensure he hits as hard as such a master duellist should in combat, the profile of his blades has been improved to Damage 2!
Earlier Rumor Engine Showing Drazhar’s Base
Drazhar is rocking a full necklace made of shattered spirit stones of fallen Aeldari he’s taken the lives of. While he’s still just a regular Aeldari on-foot, he’s the worst nightmare to Craftworld footsoldiers. While Drazhar isn’t new to the Aeldari race, his new profile certainly is. He’ll be able to wreck things like Elite infantry and Primaris on the table with damage 2 weapons.
If you need to crack down on one target, you’ll want to use the single blade. However, if he finds himself surrounded by some cocky Primaris Marines, he can make two additional attacks at his own Strength while still having a -2 AP punching power swing.
But he gets a lot better. If you roll a 6+ to wound against an enemy, you’ll be dishing out a whopping 4-damage flat swing. The cool thing about this is that he’s not only a character-killer. But he’ll still be relevant against tough vehicles in a pinch. He might be wounding them on a 6+ anyway but each one that goes through is 4 whole damage!
