The Battlezone: Fronteris Nachmund box set has a decent amount of terrain inside, but how much cash will it save you value-wise?
This actually has more value than we’ve seen in some boxes recently, so that’s always good to see! GW has been releasing terrain boxes like this for a while now, and you can save some cash and build most of a board with this box. Let’s see what value this Battlezone: Fronteris – Nachmund terrain box set actually has in our breakdown.
Battlezone: Fronteris – Nachmund $220 (yes, you read that right)
Bring your games of Warhammer 40,000 to life with the new Fronteris terrain. Not only are they cool and thematic – perfect for adding narrative flavour to your games – they’re also suitably chunky to block line of sight for your matched play games. Grab this kit to make your games more tactical and tightly fought.
If you’rer someone looking to start your own 40k table, this terrain might just be your ticket in, as it’s more or less a complete board, depending on size!
As a considerable terrain set, this comes with a ton of pieces and is a relatively large project on its own. Still, if done correctly, it will certainly help with emersion and gameplay by providing interesting play patterns. You can also pick up all these pieces on their own, but if you want at least one of everything inside, it’s probably better to get the bigger box.

Is the Box Worth it?
It saves you more than a lot of boxes we’ve seen recently. Still, it’s pretty expensive for terrain, but if you want everything inside, it will save you those hobby dollars. While it’s more value than we’ve seen recently, full disclosure $60 of that “value” comes from cardboard terrain boards, which are only sold exclusively through GW’s webstore.
Considering that, if you dont need of those boards or all the terrain inside, this box is probably a “pass’ due to its $220 price point (LOL!) and nearly half of its value being literally cardboard.
However, with prices like this, be sure to vote with your hobby dollars on this one!
