Forge World Announces New Sicaran Pattern Tank

sicaran tank walForge World just announced the new Sicaran Arcus tank and it’s looking like it’s going to be a must have. You’re not going to want to miss this Heresy.

Space Marine fans are going to like this new Sicaran Arcus tank. This tank is one that even the adepts of the Machine Gods won’t work on for untold reasons. Let’s take a look at what Games Workshop had to say about it.

Today, we’re getting a closer look at the latest variant of the Sicaran with the Sicaran Arcus Strike Tank, a powerful option for Space Marines in both the 31st and 41st Millennium.

Sicaran Arcus

The Arcus Strike Tank is one of the more unusual tanks available to the Space Marine Legions. Similar to the malevolent Dreadclaw Drop Pod and the sinister Knight-Atrapos, the Arcus Strike Tank has a shadowed past, viewed by the Mechanicum for reasons unknown as a slight against the Omnissiah. As a result, the adepts of the Machine God refuse to produce or repair these vehicles – without their ministrations, these advanced support platforms have degenerated, and their advanced armaments have been replaced with more common rotary launchers. This has done little to blunt the offensive capabilities of the Strike Tank, which is still able to race forward and unleash hails of area-saturation incendiary missiles.

The Arcus Strike Tank looks similar to the other Sicaran-class vehicles, distinguished by its large twin rotary launcher. This weapon shares design traits with other missile launchers in the Space Marine Legions, from the man-portable versions found on Heavy Support Squads to the notorious scorpius missile launcher found on the Whirlwind Scorpius. The mouth of each launcher contains a bundle of missiles and has two huge ammo drums.

You’ll be able to get your hands on this strike vehicle very soon, and rules will be available both for Horus Heresy and Warhammer 40,000 players.

The Sicaran Arcus was originally previewed at Warhammer Fest back in May, alongside the rest of the Horus Heresy 2017 releases.

This new tank is looking really strong, and that missile launcher is just making it that much better. It’s sharing the same design as the Scorpius missile launcher found on the Whirlwind Scorpius. So, let’s take a look at the stats for that to give you a better idea of what to expect.

The Scorpius multi-launcher has a 48″ Range, Heavy 3D3, Strength 6, -2 AP, does 2 Damage, and can target units not visible to the firing model. Is this what we can expect to see from the new twin rotary launcher, but with the Sciarian flair?

Check back in with us for more details, as according to GW we’ll be able to get our hands on it very soon.
