The Sisters of Silence are the most secretive agents in the entire Imperium whose only goal is to hunt rogue psykers.

Their Task
Of all the Emperor’s servants, they are the most secretive, and for good reason! When you hunt down rogue psykers, you need to be as clandestine as possible. They travel across the Galaxy to silence any threats to the Imperium. The all-female order is filled with witch hunters extraordinaire and they are some of the most elite fighting forces the Galaxy has to offer.
Their only goal is to enforce the strict laws regarding psykers all across the Imperium. If they come knocking, it’s over for you! It is rare to ever see a Sister of Silence, but that’s the way they like it. They strike fast and hard, taking out the threat and then moving on.
History of the Organization
The history of this order is very fuzzy, but what else would you expect from the most secretive branch ever? The only people who can look at any data on them must contain the highest authority and they keep their findings under wraps. What is known is that they served as the militant forces of the First Division of the Astra Telpathica since its founding. Even knowing the ranks and names of the Sisters is something only the highest ups know.
They originally had many more tasks than now, but as the Imperium grew, their role became more focused. As the Imperium kept growing the need to keep rogue psykers down did as well. They followed closely behind as the Imperium grew. Interrogating, hunting, and processing anyone who felt a tinge of the warp. Once they were satisfied with their efforts they would pass them along to the Astra Telepathica for final assessment.
They have more ground than ever to cover now. They constantly travel far and wide to continue their witch hunt. What began as a way to keep the psychic powers of the expanding human race has turned into a monumental task. They have been at it for ages and will never cease on their quest.
On the Hunt
The reason they are chosen for this hard task is their fundamental nature as psychic nulls. While they have extreme skills, this alone makes them perfect. They can’t be controlled or contorted by any powers, leaving the psykers they hunt little more than humans (maybe more like mutants). The Sisters are some of the best-armed warriors of the entire Imperium and once they catch the scent, they never back down. They will travel to great lengths to bring a single psyker down, or an entire colony. It doesn’t matter to them as long s they continue to do the Emperor’s will.
