Everyone is talking about 8th edition, but what happens after it’s released? Which are factions going to receive much needed updates, and when?
The latest rumor on 8th edition faction updates is claiming that Orks and Nids are first in line.

Xenos won’t be getting attention till 2018
Orks and Tyranids will be first out of the gate
Look for campaign book to focus on the the unforeseen results of Inquisitor Kryptman’s gamble – the Octarius War. When Orks and Tyranids fight – bad things can happen…
There will be other faction Xenos IC dropped in here and there next year outside of their full armybooks, probably in various Triumvirate box sets.
According to this it looks like those filthy filthy Xenos are going to be waiting until next year for an update. But they might be getting new independent character(s) to hold them over in GW’s Triumvirate frenzy. There also might be a new campaign book coming out that is based on a war between the Orks and Tyranids, possibly making them first in line for a faction update.
