New Foam Storage Bag – REVIEW

barebones foam storage bag

Just in time for all those AoS miniatures, there’s a new foam bag on the block! Come see the brand new Battle Bag from Bare Bones BattleWorks.

I met up with the guys behind the new Battle Bag at the ATC’s, and it’s really easy to see that they take their design very seriously. Plus not only is the Battle Bag well made, it’s affordable, it’s also super versatile as well:

Bare Bones BattleWorks $69.99*

Our first …The Battle Bag! We have designed this bag to maximize storage with two stacks using our Bare Bones Pick & Pluck Foam. You have 12″ of storage height inside the bag with TWO stacks and 1″ to 4″ of foam offered. The bags are made of ballistic fabric with lots of storage including the zipped out area that has a place for a computer tablet. The outside dimensions are 20″L x 12″D x 13″H. The P&P foam pieces are 11″L x 9″W in heights of 1″, 1.5″, 2″, 2.5″, 3″, 3.5″, and 4″.

*Bag does not include price of Foam.

But don’t take our word for it, checkout their very own video showcasing just how much the new bags can hold:

Overall I feel like this product is great for almost every transportation need sans flying – the sides just are not strong enough for it. However that being said there is probably a very finite number of hobbyists who would even fly events in the first place, so the Battle Bag is a great choice for everyday use.

I’s also one of the better alternative product to other foam bags out there, like Battlefoam and KR price wise right off the bat.

I think competition in business can be a healthy thing in any industry to push technology forward and drive down prices. Both of which we are sorely lacking in the foam storage side of things.

Now if we could just get TSA approved bag sizes that airlines will actually let us carry on.
