Games Workshop is pushing Spearhead with a fresh Gaming Pack called Sand and Bone, and it’s loaded with new missions, terrain rules, and four brand-new force boxes. Whether you’re looking to start something new or shake up your current game nights, this update is packed with stuff worth paying attention to.
Cities of Sigmar Spearhead
Think blackpowder, discipline, and very angry men with guns. Set these guys up in cover and let the lead fly. Ideal for players who love a gunline with personality—and some serious board control.
Seraphon Spearhead
This one’s for fans of speed and surgical strikes. High mobility and sneaky deployment options mean you can pick your fights. Great for hit-and-run players or folks who like a skink-sized headache for their opponent.
Ossiarch Bonereapers Spearhead
Compact but absolutely lethal. Not many models, but every one is a beatstick. These guys reward good positioning and punish sloppy movement. If you’re into durability and devastating counters, this is the one.

New General’s Handbook & Objective Markers
Here’s what’s up next for the Age of Sigmar Roadmap in terms of competitive play.
Spearhead’s off to Shyish, but Matched Play is packing its bags for Ghyran—where flowers bloom and heads roll. It’s time for the next General’s Handbook, and this one’s coming in a sleek new box. The Soulblight Gravelords are Coming in Hot
Sharpen your fangs and dust off those coffins—the Soulblight Gravelords are back in action with a fresh wave of releases landing on shelves May 24th, 2025. Whether you’re building a new dynasty or reinforcing your undead legions, there’s plenty to sink your teeth into.
Expect new units, updated rules, and some seriously stylish miniatures that are equal parts regal and terrifying. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to return to the Mortal Realms with blood-fueled vengeance, this is it.
Prince Vhordrai and the Revenant Dragon
Let’s talk about the star of the show, Prince Vhordrai. Cursed by Nagash himself, this vampire lord rides into battle on Shordemaire, a massive undead dragon that’s as terrifying as it is imposing (160 mm base, folks).
Vampire Lord on Nightmare Steed
It looks like the rumors were true, and a new character is here to lead the Gravelords on the march in the Mortal Realms.
Battletome: Soulblight Gravelords
The new Battletome: Soulblight Gravelords brings the undead narrative to life—well, sort of. Packed with fresh lore, the book dives (whoops, not that word) into the grim history of the Barrow Kingdoms and the vampire monarchies that rule them. It also introduces terrain features and manifestations to add flavor to your games.
Oh, and did we mention the four new battle regiments? These regiments, along with rules for armies of renown, will give your undead legions more strategic flexibility on the tabletop.
The Wight King on Steed
At the head of this grim procession is the Wight King on Steed, a ruler with a taste for conquest even in undeath. On the tabletop, the Wight King excels at commanding cavalry and adding cursed firepower to your army. Pairing him with the Barrow Knights makes for a devastating combination.
The Barrow Guard
The Barrow Guard are the steadfast bodyguards of the Wight King. Loyal beyond death, they were buried with their ruler, armed and armored for eternal service. They can be equipped with either swords and shields or spears, making them versatile warriors.
Soulblight Manifestations & Terrain
The Soulblight Gravelords are introducing new features that improve their ability to control the battlefield and enhance their necromantic magic. The Cursed Sepulchres are key to this update. These structures act as centers for death magic, helping necromancers summon their Soulblight Gravelord troops more easily.
Each kit includes three mausoleum-like structures that can be set up in various ways, including an open-roof version. Plus, if you have a Nighthaunt army, you can also build these as the Nexus of Grief.
Three powerful new spectral constructs join the Soulblight Gravelords:
- Hand of Nagash- This spectral claw can slash enemies or freeze them in place, reducing their movement. It’s useful to stop threats before they can act.
- Unholy Reliquary- This construct allows heroes to heal or boost their attacks. It helps keep important characters in the fight or increase the damage of strong warriors.
- Sanguine Swarm- A swarm of vampiric bats that attack and drain the enemy’s vitality. The swarm has two parts that must stay close together, but they can attack separately, which can annoy your opponent.
These new features give Soulblight Gravelord players more options in battles. You can disrupt enemy movement, boost your heroes, or launch fast attacks with these constructs.
Blades of the Hollow King Box Brings these Vampires to Un-life!
The Barrow Kingdoms are marching once more in this preview, but this time, they bring along some particularly well-known figures from Black Library fiction. Cado Ezechiar, the Hollow King, and his formidable allies step from the pages of Warhammer Age of Sigmar novels onto the battlefield, ready to carve a bloody path in the Mortal Realms.
New Deathrattle Army Set: Release Date April 19th, 2025

We’re scratching our heads a bit with this one—GW listed the older Blood Crave Spearhead box for pre-order, dropping on the 24th. So… is this a surprise second Spearhead release in the same month?
Or did someone just click the wrong file when uploading the post? Hard to say at this point. Maybe it’s a mix-up, maybe it’s a master plan. Either way, we’re keeping an eye on it.
Leaked Soulblight Gravelords Othar Half-King Model
The Age of Sigmar (AoS) community is buzzing with excitement following the leak of the new Othar Half-King model for the Soulblight Gravelords. This commemorative miniature is expected to be a Warhammer Day exclusive or tied to an upcoming Games Workshop event like Boxing Day.
Such models often hint at larger things to come, and this release may well signal future developments for the Soulblight Gravelords in AoS.
Skaven Clawlord Kettek Throatbite: Warhammer Event Exclusive 2025
Kettek Throatbite is the epitome of everything you love about these sinister, backstabbing ratmen. Armed with a pair of razor-sharp weapons and proudly bearing the flag of Blight City, this Clawlord oozes character (and possibly warpstone fumes).
Estenna of Brighthall: Warhammer Stores Exclusive 2025
As a Knight-Zephyros, Estenna is a deadly assassin serving Sigmar’s divine justice. Her sleek Thunderstrike armor, adorned with celestial embellishments, and her arsenal of weapons make her a standout addition to your Stormcast Eternals army.
Warhammer+ Plus 2024 Miniatures: Marshal Ashfield and Squire Udo
Over in the Mortal Realms, Marshal Ashfield is the poster child of battlefield elegance—if your idea of elegance includes heavy armor, a brace of pistols, and a perpetual look of determination.
He’s not the type to lead from the back. Ashfield’s the kind of Freeguild Marshal who gets right into the thick of it, blade swinging and pistols blazing. But let’s not forget Squire Udo, the unsung hero of this duo.
While Ashfield might be front and center, rallying troops with a war cry, Udo’s back there mumbling to himself, lugging around every potion, unguent, and tincture you could imagine.
New Warhammer Age of Sigmar Release Battletome Roadmap 40k Heading Into 2024-25
Up next in 2025 looks to be Nighthaunts and the Idoneth Deepkin (in no particular order), and judging from the teaser images, Blades of Khorne, Kharadron Overlords, and Daughters of Khaine look to be not far off as well.
With the new Warhammer Age of Sigmar edition now available, it’s prime time to map out what’s next. It seems Destruction and Death will steal the spotlight early in 2025, with more than a few battletomes on the horizon.

This marks the first time we’re seeing actual models for her cult, which suggests there’s a quiet religious uprising brewing among the Khainites—and it’s looking sharp.
Borgit’s Beastgrabbaz New Warband Release Date February 15th, 2025
The Moonclan Grots are back, and this time, they’re on the hunt for something big. Enter Borgit’s Beastgrabbaz, a new warband for Warhammer Underworlds, made up of six crafty grots, a smaller Troggoth named Uglug, and some seriously sneaky tactics. Their mission? Track down Trugg, the Troggoth king, and survive long enough to brag about it.

As it stands, Games Workshop’s release roadmap isn’t showing any new Blood Bowl kits on the immediate horizon, as the latest Blood Bowl model was released back in January 2025.
