Checkout all the new Chaos Daemons Codex reveals for Relics and Psychic Powers that were just revealed from inside the new book!

It has been a week rich with information concerning the upcoming Chaos Daemons Codex. First off we had Games Workshop’s Twitch preview Friday with tons of datasheets rules previews and more. And now thanks to winters SEO’s review, we now have more information regarding new Stratagems that are unique to each Chaos God and their Warlord Traits.

Chaos Daemons Codex

This article includes all the new information we have gathered from Winters’ review and was not covered in our other confirmed Daemon rules posts.

Relics

  • Khorne – Crimson Crown: Each time you make a wound roll of a 6 for a friendly Khorne daemon unit within 6″ of the bearer, the model that made the attack can immediately make a second attack against the same target with the same weapon. These extra attacks cannot generate bonus attacks.
  • Khorne – A sword that has a nice stat line and allows you to re-roll failed wound rolls made against enemy characters.
  • Khorne – An axe that allows you to re-roll failed wound rolls made against Titanic units.
  • Tzeentch – Endless Grimoire: The bearer knows an additional psychic power.
  • Tzeentch – The Ether Stave: A model with a Rod of Sorcery or Staff of Change. Adds +1 to the bearer’s psychic test if they attempt to manifest Smite.
  • Tzeentch – Soulblade: For Tzeentch Heralds only. It ignores invulnerable saves.
  • Nurgle – Entropic Nail: enemy units must subtract -1 from their Leadership if they are within 7″ of the bearer.
  • Nurlge – Corruption: Nurlge model with a plague, bale, bile, or Hell-forged sword. Re-roll failed wound rolls with this weapon.
  • Slaanesh – Forbidden Gem: Once per battle, target an enemy character within 12″. Roll 3D6. If the result is more than the target’s Leadership, they will be unable to act until the end of the phase. This means everything on its datasheet will not be usable, including aura effects.
  • Slaanesh – Soulstealer Sword: Replaces sword or Hell-forged sword. Every time a model is slain with this relic, the bearer regains a wound. You can also re-roll all failed wound rolls when targeting Aledari units with it.
  • Slaanesh – Slough Full of Claws(?): Slaanesh Herald only. Each time you make a wound roll of 4+ for this weapon, the attack is resolved at -4AP instead of -2AP.

Psychic Powers

  • Nurgle – Stream of Corruption, Virulent Blessing, and Fleshy Abundance are unchanged.
  • Nurgle – Miasma of Pestilence: Warp Charge value of 6. Pick a friendly Nurgle daemon unit within 18″ and, if manifested, enemy units targeting that unit suffer -1 to hit.
  • Nurgle – Nurgle’s Rot: chance to do mortal wounds on a target that is within 7″.
  • Nurgle – Shriveling Pox: Warp Charge value of 6. Pick an enemy within 18″ and that unit will have to subtract -1 from their Toughness characteristic.
  • Tzeentch – Boon of Change, Bolt of Change, and Teason of Tzeentch are unchanged.
  • Tzeentch – Infernal Gateway: Warp Charge value of 8. If manifested, identify the nearest and visible enemy model to the psyker within 12″. That model, its unit, and any other units nearby, friend and foe, within 3″ of the model suffer D3 mortal wounds. The number of mortal wounds is D6 if the result of the psychic test is 12+.
  • Slaanesh – Cacophonic Choir, Symphony of Pain, and Hysterical Frenzy are unchanged.
  • Slaanesh – Delightful Agonies: Warp Charge value of 5. Select a single friendly Slaanesh unit within 18″ of the psyker. Until the start of your next Psychic phase, roll a D6 each time a model in that unit suffers a wound. On a 6+, that model does not lose a wound.
  • Slaanesh – Pavony of Slaanesh: Warp Charge value of 6. If manifested, select an enemy unit within 18″ of the psyker and is visible to it. Roll a D6 for each model in the unit and that unit suffers a mortal wound each time a 6 is rolled.
