Games Workshop Just Purged Even More Forge World Models

forge-world-logo-banner-games-workshop-warhammer-40kGames Workshop purged a dozen or so Age of Sigmar Forge World models, bringing the overall number to a pitifully low amount.

It seems that Forge World will soon become just a part of Games Workshop, as the models just keep disappearing from the site, well, for Age of Sigmar at least! We’ve discussed their rebranding over the years, but this doesn’t look or feel like a rebrand.

To us, it feels like AoS is basically going away from Forge World forever!

At one point, they had a giant range with entire armies (like Chaos Dwarfs), tons of monsters, and characters. Those days, unfortunately, appear to be gone…

They took out all kinds of models in the more recent purge (which was done more than six months ago, according to the only record we could find for it).  These included Chaos Dwarves, which rumors say are because GW is reworking the faction into the Oath Breakers. However, things have just gotten worse since this, as more models have fallen by the wayside in the past few months.

As of right now, this is all that is left! Only six models are left in the entire Age of Sigmar category, and they are all Chaos and compatible with Warhammer 40k. Not only that, but two are currently out of stock, which really only leaves four models you can order right now.

So, if you want any of these models, you may want to get them sooner than later. Who knows when even these models will permanently go out of stock as there are plenty of plastic alternatives for them now from Games Workshop’s webstore itself.

We figure these have been removed most likely due to a lack of demand, or maybe it’s all just part of GW’s rebranding to free up more capacity for Horus Heresy.

We’re really not sure, but either way, it’s sad to see AoS basically disappearing from Forge World altogether.
