Magic the Gathering: Outlaws of Thunder Junction Commander Decks
As always, each of the four commander decks is loaded with a unique playstyle and theme. Quickdraw looks like it’s going to be all about slinging tons of spells per turn, which is very Izzet.
Grand Larceny appears to mark the return of everybody’s favorite Gonti, this time being the lord of Larceny instead of luxury. His deck will revolve around stealing other players’ cards and playing them instead, almost certainly.
Desert Bloom is fascinating, as it matches the colors for some of the old desert-themed commanders and is built around discarding lands.
And last but not least, Most Wanted is based around treasures and the new Outlaw mechanic.
Another cool thing is that in addition to all of the cool new mechanics, they’ve also re-introduced a boat-load of Mercenaries. Now, this is just a crackpot theory, but for those of you out there sitting on some of those tribal tutors from Mercandian Masques, keep an eye on them. I expect that those silly Mercenary tutors might go up in price here in a bit.
