Army Showcase- Lords of the Night 18th Battle Company

By Rob Baer | September 28th, 2013 | Categories: Armies on Parade, Chaos Space Marines

Welcome to Armies on Parade; Army Showcase where I display (in hopefully good detail) the best of the all great looking armies I’ve featured from major tournaments all across the United States.

If you click on the Army Showcase label you’ll be able to scroll through some great looking armies, all at once.
It’s like you were at a major event yourself, all from the comfort of your home or smart phone!  -Enjoy MBG

Over the past few years I’ve been privileged to meet a lot of great hobbyists out there. One such fellow is Dan Johnson. Dan produces amazingly realistic Marine conversion that are really just phenomenal.

In addition to cranking out great conversions, he has been busy winning awards at both BolsCon (WarGamesCon) and Baltimore Games Day this year for most awesomeness army (yeah I may have made that up, but it’s still pretty much true).

As he happens to be a buddy of mine, I was able to corner him and get a ton of pictures recently of his converted Chaos Space Marine Night Lords 18th Battle Company.  Below is some of his work, and as you look at it, try to spot all the very subtle conversions in there. There are almost so many I lost track myself. Enjoy.

If you would like to see more of Dan’s work, head over to his thread on Bolter and Chainsword. -MBG

Bio: Virginia restless, miniature painter & cat dad. He blames LEGOs for all this, as there was something about those little-colored blocks that started it all. Spikey Bits started with Rob trying to stay motivated to hobby on his backlog of projects and share his knowledge with others during the early blogging era.

Scale model hobbyist in the 80s, miniature wargamer, and trading card player ever since. He’s played every edition of Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy since 5th Edition, but Titans of all sizes will always be his favorite! It’s even rumored that his hobby vault rivals the Solemnance Galleries, containing rulebooks filled with lore from editions long past, ancient packs of black-bordered Magic Cards, and minatures made of both pewter and resin.
