Games Workshop NERFS The Winning Sigmar List from LVO

age of sigmar stormcast cover book sm

This years Las Vegas Open was anyone’s game, but someone had to walk away with the top position. Come find out what the winning AoS list was!

Editor’s Note:  With the release of the New Stormcast Eternals Battletome, The Wardens of the the Realm Gate Battalion has been removed, and the Vexillor and Azyros abilities have been significantly nerfed as well. Now you can use the Vexillor to land within 9″ of the enemy and cause no additional wounds, and the Azyros can not longer “homing beacon” incoming Stormcasts from on high.

The Age of Sigmar APP lists the previous Two Stormcast books as “Unavailable” and the only rules accessible are the ones from the new Stormcast battletome. The Wardens of the Realmgate battalion currently has points in the General’s Handbook, however is not listed in the points summary in the back of the Stormcast Battletome that was just released.

The Format for the Age of Sigmar Grand Tournaments was pretty straightforward. It included all missions from the Generals Handbook, pg. 1-6, and a sideboard. A ‘sideboard’ is a separate selection of units that a player can choose from before a game to better tailor their army to what their opponent has brought. Both players will have the chance to see what their opponent has brought to the table, and then, after a roll-off, they can swap Warscrolls from their primary army list with Warscrolls from their sideboard.

This year’s winner was Andrew Standiferd with 8900 points destroyed. Now, for his winning list!

Huge congratulations to Andrew Standiferd who was able to grab the #1 position with his Stormcast Eternals army. Not only was Stormcast the top army of the Las Vegas Open, now they’re getting more minis, and some of the old units are getting upgraded. Is Stormcast becoming a little OP? Will this ultimately be the downfall to all Chaos armies? Will you be starting a Stormcast army? Andrew may have set the bar pretty high for everyone else.
