After a successful Kickstarter, Privateer Press is bringing an awesome board game that will have players exploring and battling evil in the Iron Kingdoms.
Kickstarter backers have been receiving their Widower’s Wood boxes and have been enjoying this board game. Now, you too will be able to enjoy this Iron Kingdoms board game as well this August. The game is campaign-driven and will have players facing an ancient evil that is led by a merciless witch doctor that threatens to destroy all the tribes that live in the swamps around Widower’s Wood. It can be played solo, or up to 4 players, as the npcs are controlled by cards and dice, which leaves you in control of all four characters.
The four heroes included in the core box are Agata, Skarg, Vaskis, and Olo. Heroes that will be coming/may be included are Viktor Pendrake, Crede and Jagger, and Lanyssa Ryssyl. The Core Games includes 36 enemy creatures and 3 elite enemies to face depending on what mission you choose to undertake. Privateer Press has also confirmed that Widower’s Wood is 100% compatible with The Undercity, as will all future Iron Kingdoms board games.
Being released in August will be the Dead Men Walking Expansion for Widower’s Wood. The expansion includes 6 new scenarios that can be solo’d or played as a larger part of campaigns for The Undercity and Widower’s Wood.
