Painting Ultramarines Blue Armor: Elminiaturista Tutorial

ultramarines armor 2He starts with Vallejo Black, out of the airbrush, but you can also do this from a spray can if you want. then he takes Vallejo White and does a Zenithal highlight for depth in the future.

Step 2

ultramarines armor 3He gloss varnishes the mini next, before doing any of the oil washes. He does this through the airbrush to get easy coverage. To make the wash he uses normal oil paint and mixes it with white spirit and then mixes it with a synthetic brush. With this mix, he washes all the recesses to pull out the shadows.

This takes a while so just be patient. Then he comes back with a makeup brush with some white spirit on it and cleans up the excess on the raised parts.

Step 3
