Trajann Valoris lore is all about one of the deadliest warriors the Imperium has ever produced and possibly the best General!
The Captain-General has led countless campaigns when the Imperium was in its direst need. He is a master tactician and at one point was considered the greatest warrior the Imperium had to offer. When he leads a charge of Custodes, you know it’s about to get intense! Take out your biggest coffee mug and let’s learn about the history of this crazy warrior!
Trajann Valoris Lore: Gaining Renown
Way back in the day he was originally an Allarus Custodian who ran two successful Blood Games, a record still unbroken to this day. A trio unheard of feats further raised his fame to the stars. He was instrumental in destroying the Space Hulk Mournful Siren, helped eliminate a Genestealer Cult, and was at the forefront of a preemptive strike against a massive Waaaagh!
Most Custodes would have been happy with any of the three achievements. He could care less about the past, he was always looking for the next scrap and ways to help the Imperium. It didn’t take long for people to start seeing him as a bonafide representative of the Emperor himself.
A Proactive Man
He was quickly accepted into the ranks of the Companions for his efforts for a short tenure of 22 years. He hated the waiting and eventually was allowed to be reassigned somewhere where he could be proactive. A man like Trajann is not made to sit around idly by. Because of this, he was granted the rank of Sheild-Captain and went back into the fray. He used the time well and spent several centuries leading campaigns all throughout the system.
His rise to the top didn’t stop there. He was elevated to Captain-General after Andros Launceddre died. His reign saw one of the most proactive times in the history of the Custodes. The Blood Games ran more often than ever before, long-hidden cults were destroyed, and the warp routes around the area were strengthened. When he does something, he goes all out.
Adapting the Adeptus Custodes
An old mysterious artifact was brought to Valoris from an ancient vault deep within Terra that would help the Custodes adapt to the new ways of the Universe. He was able to use the device to predict the awakening of sleepy Girlyman. He changed the entire order of the Adeptus Custodes to be ready for the Imperial Ascension of the long-awaited Primarch. Many orders had no choice but to change in the midst of everything, the Custodes were ready thanks to Trajann.
Preparing for Battle
While many of the High Lords of Terra were sitting idly by, Trajann knew a war was coming. He had been prepping the Custodes for campaigns in the Universe for ages. Even calling upon the Sisters of Silence years in advance of the Indomitus Crusade.
Valoris took part himself and led a combined force of Grey Knights and Custodes in the Battle of Gathalamor during the Crusade as well as many others. We’ll just have to see what the future holds for this hero!
