1st Place: Mark Aescht- Death Guard

Death Guard Wal Hor Nurgle Death Guard Space Marine Heroes 3 SPOTTED!

dicehead dg 1Mark opted for a single battalion of Mortarion’s Anvil, meaning there’s no Mortarion in the list! The force is led by two Maligant Plaguecasters, plus a Tallyman, and a Fould Blightspawn. These offer a ton of Psychic power support plus some nice auras.

dicehead dg 2Troops see a total of 41 Poxwalkers which provide decent bodies to help soak wounds for the higher priority models in the list.

Elites see 2 Biologus Putrifiers which make a target Core unit unmodified wound rolls of 6s do an additional mortal wound. 9 Possessed offers decent melee combatants who can benefit from the Biologus melee buff.

dicehead dg 3A huge portion of the list is then invested in 15 Deathshroud Terminators, who can prevent ranged attacks to friendly characters within 3″ and have great melee stats. They also can be targeted by the Putrifier’s melee buff for extra mortals.

Lastly in Heavy Support, there are two Plagueburst Crawlers. These are decent ranged vehicles that can sit in the back behind walls and slowly pump out damage to almost anything on the board over the course of the game without too much investment.

Death Guard Victory- Congrats to Mark on the win!

Death Guard has won this time, but what do you think about all three of these most recent lists? Are these lists meta?
