Net Neutrality: New GW Rumor Engine

Rumor Engine new GW header wal horWe’ve got a solid GW rumor engine that looks like a capturing net, so get your thinking caps ready and dive in!

Warhammer Community just unveiled one more rumor engine and this time it looks like a net to capture prey. Check out the details of this bit that look to be on the way for 40k or AoS.

Catch and Release: New GW Rumor Engine

rumor engine 3-30-21This net is an interesting bit, and nets are a little rare in Warhammer, however, they do exist. Looking at this, we might immediately think AoS, who would be crazy enough to try to catch a chainsword wielding Space Marine, or even a futuristic Tau Mech?

In AoS this could be a lot of factions, Empire trappers, Chaos Torturers, Tribal Orrruks, and the list goes on. There is also a single 40k example that came to mind…

The Drukhari may have just gotten their update, but the Wyches do have an old kit, and their squad does have a net bit as you can see in the top right. Which does leave the possibility open that GW would update a kit for them or another similar gladiatorial type squad to use later down the line.

Anyway, hopefully, we know sooner than later!

What do you think this is? Do you think it could be for a wave of new Dark Eldar releases?
