Checkout the new rumors today on the Horus Heresy that seem to put the term “starter” in “starter set”.

Horus Heresy Plastic Boxed Game

Game Title: “Betrayal at Calth”
Type: Boardgame – hex based board
Dice: D6s w/ custom symbols
Now honestly I’m not too sure on these rumors, BUT hey if it ends up being the real deal, then we’ll all be glad we read it I suppose.
I can almost see it being a stand alone game separate from the Horus Heresy, because let’s be honest they’re probably not going to give us those books in a starter format right?
We also know that GW seems to be looking at bringing in newer players to it’s properties so perhaps the custom symbol dice and hex based board is simply a means to an end?
Veteran players get the figures they want, and GW brings in the new players that they need. Either way it seems to be win-win to me?
