How to Paint Oil Streaks on Miniatures: Lil’ Legend Tutorial

Paint Oil Streaks 2Considering this is an effect you add on near the end, you need your mini more or less done before you get to this! So, take your painted mini, and let’s see how to do it (but don’t worry, it’s super easy).

How To Do It

Paint Oil Streaks 3He starts with Earth Clay From Ammo Mig and puts it into a palette. He then takes a very small brush and puts a dab of paint beneath the rivets of the tank. Then, you take a drybrush (with no paint on it) and drag the streak down the model.

Paint Oil Streaks 4If you want the line to be a little bit longer, you take a pinch of oil-based thinner and do the same technique as above. You can manipulate them further, but let the oil-based thinner dry for about 24 hours before doing it again.
