The latest new Necromunda miniature will be Athera & Stix, a House Escher bodyguard and Caryatid companion!
With the new book on the way focusing on Escher and Goliath, it only makes sense they get more models. We already saw a jetbike/bike for both gangs and some Goliath characters, so this could be near the last of the new minis to accompany the book.
However, this comes from Forge World, so it will most likely be resin.
Warhammer Community unveiled the new model, so now we have even more Necromunda models to wait on! Let’s check it out, but if you want to see the most recent Necromunda releases, you can check those out here.
New Necromunda Escher Athera & Stix
The Matriarch’s Blade has been at Adina’s side since her ascension to the Council of Crones. Known across Necromunda as a deadly fighter with her master-crafted chainaxe, Athera often acts as her sister’s proxy in matters of honour, allowing her to single out an enemy ganger with a challenge – and gain bonuses while they occupy her full attention.
That is some wild hair, to say the least! Her axe, however, will be perfect for issuing challenges and smashing through enemy gangs. Her little companion is pretty awesome and we could see people using that on a bunch of bases and conversions.
Wherever Athera goes, her Caryatid companion Stix is never far behind. These strange winged creatures are said to sense ill fortune – a trait especially valued by the Escher – and their forewarnings are prized in the ever-dangerous underhive.
House Escher gangs can petition Athera and Stix for aid as a House Agent, while players taking part in a Succession Campaign from Cinderak Burning can enlist their services regardless of their gang – providing they side with a certain rogue noble’s rebellion…
We’ll have to see how the rules all shake out with the new Cinderdark book, but it’s nice that more than just Escher gangs can hire them.
