YouTube channel Pontus 51, published an amazing 40k animated short film that any 40k player can be a fan of. We’ll be going over the details but be sure you watch it all yourself!
The Raptor: Another Must-See 40k Short Film Like Astartes!
The short starts by setting the grimdark scene, and although there are not any huge battles going on, the lighting and atmosphere set the stage pretty perfectly.
The Astartes come into the room and begin the sequence of getting armored up with the help of some Admech.
The suit is finished by placing the chest on, making the Intercessor ready for battle. Overall the whole sequence looks a lot like another famous scene from a little known Iron Man movie. In case you might not remember, here’s a short video of that sequence.
There’s a lot more animation going on with Tony Stark and he isn’t a superhuman marine, but to even be compared to a whole movie studio is a testament to the creators’ talent!
The video ends with some short scenes depicting some fighting, one with the bolter, and one with his combat knife. Combat is not the focus, but maybe if this gets popular enough the next one will?
Overall this short is absolutely fantastic, and if you haven’t you should watch the full video, then give the creator some love, he seriously deserves it.
