This Is How to Paint Deathwing & Bone Colors Easy: TUTORIAL

boneKenny with Next Level Painting is here with another tutorial. This time, it’s how to easily paint Deathwing or bone colors on your favorite miniatures.

Kenny is no stranger to all things painting on stream and videos every week to help other hobbyists learn to paint better. This time he’s showing off the techniques and paints he uses for a model with distinct bone colors. He’s only using Pro Acryl Paints this time around.

deathwing brownWith a white primed Deathwing terminator, lightly coat the whole model with Pro Acryl Transparent Brown.

Without cleaning the pot add some Pro Acryl Golden Brown and go over almost the entire model again, this time leaving the previous brown only in the very darkest areas.

deathwing armor perfectedOnce again without cleaning out the pot, add some Pro Acryl Ivory . Cover the model again but being a little more reserved so we can leave in the Golden Brown to form transitions. Then add Pro Acryl Bright Ivory to the dirty pot and apply it as much as we can but leaving in the previous colors to make great transitions.

After that, finally, empty the pot and use pure Pro Acryl Ivory as a highlight on only the highest points.  With that our armor is looking perfect and you can freely finish the rest of the model!
