Don’t miss the latest unbeatable army for Warhammer 40k that made it to the top at the highly competitive Dicehammer GT as the overall champion!
A Daemon list ruled the meta at the event, and thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back and get all the details of the lists that were registered.
According to the Dicehammer GT website, there are a ton of reasons for attending the event:
The Dicehammer GT will be hosted at Forest Lanes, a Bowling Alley in the Heart of Orange County (no, we are not part of San Diego or LA, there is a whole other county that separates the two). The Dicehammer GT will be a 46-player, 2-day Warhammer 40k ITC tournament.

1st Place: Chaos Daemons- Jim Vesal
Jumping right into the top list that finished 5-0, we’ve got Daemon soup and Ahriman (i.e pocket Magnus). One Nurgle Battalion loaded with the Plaguebearer package sat on objectives and tar-pitted units that got too close. Meanwhile, the second Battalion of mixed Daemons alpha-striked using a Bloodletter bomb. plus, one fatty blob of Horrors really sealed the deal on the number of models the enemy had to chew through to beat this list.
To add a real Psychic phase as well as some decent damage output to the army, a Supreme Command Detachment was formed. Ahriman, a Sorcerer, and two Daemon Princes lead the charge. Meanwhile, a double C-Beam cannon Contemptor sat back and melted through enemy armor.
We’ve seen this Daemon archetype list before. Essentially, you gob things up with the Plaguebearers and have your Daemon Princes move in for the kill. However, there are still some unique aspects of this list! How often have you seen a Terminator Sorcerer used? Terminator armor is about as useless as a template weapon in 8th edition. This army even brought a C-Beam Contemptor. (Something we haven’t seen used in a top list yet)!
