The Ares is a potent terror weapon, bypassing enemy armies as it blazes over their lines in the shadow of its eclipse shields. Using its immensely destructive Arachnus magna-blaze cannon against the monuments and edifices which an enemy culture hold most dear to their hearts, it strikes a decisive blow against their will to wage war.

In case you plan on using it in your 40k games, long story short, it’s a scary flying Knight. But check out the rules for yourself.

The Ares is a potent flyer that can bully just about anything it wants to shoot at. You can do mortal wounds with your Infernus Firebombs each turn and obliterate anything with multiple wounds using a flat 6+D3 damage cannon. This thing is essentially a flying Knight at T8 and 22 wounds. Combined with a 5++ invuln AND -1 to hit modifier, you should be able to wreak havoc.

As if it wasn’t killy enough, it’s also got a 2+ BS and ignores Heavy. Essentially, you’ll be making all your shots. The only thing you need to worry about it rolling hot on the D3 number of shots. While it’s got a hefty price tag, it could also be a monster in-game.

With the Gunship finally available, will you be playing it in your 40k games? Do you think this will be an essential piece to Custodes in ITC games? How many will you be running?
