Imperial Knight Upgrade Bits: Iron Wolf Minis (now in resin)

iron wolf minis upgrade bitsCheck out a familiar lineup of upgrade bits compatible with the Armiger Imperial Knight (now in resin) from Iron Wolf Minis.

You may remember some of these being sold as 3D printed Knight upgrade bits on Shapeways from Gadgets Plus. Now their sister company Iron Wolf Minis has its own site and casting methods for the same bits! It’s also nice because all of these are priced for around half their 3D printed counterparts.

iron wolf dice bagRight out of the box, we get a sense of the special touch Iron Wolf Minis gives their new orders. Rob got a nice card and sticker with the logo, plus the bits came in two branded dice bags! Goodbye, crown royal bags, now you’ve got two dice bags and best of all it was free. Buy bits- get a free dice bag (or two) that’s just pure profit, lol.

Not only do you get goodies with the purchase, but it’s cheaper to the 3D printed bits by around half for everything! Props to them for going the extra mile.

There is also a slight difference in quality. Above is a painted armiger with the 3d printed bits. You may notice some inconsistencies and “fuzzy” areas on the bits due to magnification. With the resin parts, you won’t get that! Although of course, these “issues” are extremely small and very hard to notice any time you aren’t closely examining it.

frost cannonRob also got a resin frost cannon, which looks great with sweet crisp runes on the side. It may be small but that extra little bit of flavor can go a long way!
