Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can see what the players brought as well as their exact scores. With that said, let’s break down the top three lists that rose to the top! Scoring is done by Swiss points.

3rd Place: Cult Mechanicus- Damien Owen

The first Battalion detachment if full of those beefy Kataphron Destroyers you know and love. A T5 troops choice is nasty. Especially when it’s all loaded with plasma. These guys move like a slow, unrelenting wall. Meanwhile, the Servitors and Rangers captured objectives and tried to stay out of the way of enemy fire.

With a big squad of four Kastellan Robots, these guys were able to lay down some serious firepower on a higher-toughness platform. They Robots are honestly just better Dreadnoughts as long as they’re being controlled right.

Looking at the second Battalion, cheap troops were taken for the CP but the real stars of the show were the Dragoons. These things are deceptively hard to kill and can get in your face quicker than you’d like. Plus, they hit hard enough to actually take down a Knight. Great list!

2nd Place: Chaos- Michael Sells

There’s a lot going on in this list. But essentially, its a psychic powerhouse. With Ahriman, Magnus, a Daemon Prince, and three Sorcerers in one detachment, there’s a lot of smiting going on. The Pink Horrors can do some real damage in combat, but their main purpose is probably to protect all of the characters.

1st Place: Aeldari- Chris Blackham

Keeping the theme of most Aeldari lists, there’s a small Dark Eldar Kabal of the Black Heart detachment taken for the Agents of Vect Strat. Of course, Chris brought three Ravagers to help pop tanks. Past that, he loaded up on some Razorwing Jetfighters to help fill up board space.

And as you would expect from seeing the Razorwings, the player also spammed the Crimson Hunter Exarchs and a Hemlock. The ground unit’s goal is to stay hidden and out of sight. Meanwhile, the terror from the skies rains down hate on anything below. The especially nasty thing about the Crimson Hunter Exarchs is that they can pivot, move, and pivot again. Essentially you can constantly prevent any kind of deepstrike shenanigans. All in all, this is a list we’ve seen time and time again but it’s definitely strong.
