MBG back again with my Blood Angels Playtest Game 3 Video. This time though it’s different- I’m running the Blood Angels, and Travis is playing Orks. Can you say Ghaz vs. Mephiston??!!
I also have switched up the list, turning it more into a drop/ aggro assault army then the mech version I was running for the first two videos. Its not 100% tweeked and I threw Mephiston in just to test the big guy out, BUT overall I’m pretty happy with the basic mechanics of the list.
Check out my last post “Enter the Mephiston” for the breakdown of this list, and some ideas for a better build with Mephiston.
1850 Mephiston Angels
Mephiston
Honor Guard 4x Meltas, Pod
Priest, Jump Pack, Combi Melta
Furioso LIbrarian Dreadnought, Blood Talons, Pod w/ Loc
Furioso LIbrarian Dreadnought, BL, Flight, Pod w/ Locator
Assault Squad 10 Man- Melta x2, P Fist
Assault Squad 10 Man- Melta x2, Sgt w/Melta Bombs
Assault Squad 10 Man- Melta x2, Sgt w/Melta Bombs
Assault Squad 5 Man- Melta, Rhino Searchlight
Assault Squad 5 Man- Melta, Rhino Searchlight
The basic idea of the list is to rush forward with the rhinos and get to where the pods are dropping in. I made the mistake of thinking you could embark Mephiston in the rhino and then take off 18 inches, but I was wrong. (thanks for the comments, epic fail by me) It wasn’t really too big of a mistake for this bat rep cause he would have been able to close the gap anyways, but all the same I like to play by the rules.
Anyways Mephitson only made one appearance in this list, and I ended up taking out the priest too, cause he can be targeted. So for now for now enjoy the bat rep and the evolution of my list.
Games 4 and 5 feature a new super aggo version of this list, that has amazing potential. I’ll try to have those battle reports up soon. What do you think of how this version of the list ran?
