Warzone Atlanta war a heaping helping of good vibes for the soul of the Hobby. If you couldn’t make it down to the event, we’ve got a first-hand recap for you.
Warzone Atlanta had players from all over the country stop in and show off their most beautifully painted armies. It was a relatively closed event with only about one-hundred players listed in the tournament.

Fluffy Lists and Beautiful Paint Schemes
A majority of the players there went for maximum fluffage and brought some lists that haven’t popped up in the meta for quite a while. It was fun watching some overlooked units take their opponents by surprise and actually plow through some units.
Want to talk about flexing your hobby muscles? There was a list of Custode Dreadknight Conversions. Custodes Contemptor bodies were converted into some Daemon-smacking Dreadknights.
Of Course, a few Magnuses popped up in the midst of everything as well. Stop and take a look at the detail on the model. On top of the beautiful glow effects, there’s a Space Wolf getting crushed under a boulder.
Over the Top Display Boards
Professionally painted minis weren’t the only beautiful things at Warzone Atlanta. One of a Kind display boards were buck wild. Armies showed off their pride to the max against other factions.
LEDs were just one of the elements that went above and beyond your run-in-the-mill hobbies.
Terrain & Organization
The organization of the event was seamless. Everything went smooth. Games started and ended according to the schedule and there were no major uproars in the player base.
The terrain was above and beyond what we’ve seen at some of the larger-scale events with tables ranging from Necron Tomb Worlds to Snowy Fenrisian biomes.
Unlike some of the larger tournaments throughout the year, Warzone Atlanta was a more relaxed event. People were friendly and more than happy to talk about the hobby as a whole. If you weren’t able to make it this year, don’t worry. There’s always next year!
Plus, there’s word that Warzone Atlanta will be expanding to a bigger location so more people can join in.
