Space Marines swept the Cherokee Open over the weekend, as these Warhammer 40k army lists took the top three spots!
The tournament is over, and now we can look at which lists managed to secure a place at the top! Check out what these winners brought into their armies.
Space Marines Sweep The Cherokee Open: Top 3 40k Army Lists
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves.
3rd Place: John Lennon – Iron Hands
2nd Place: Brad Chester – Space Wolves
1st Place: Steven Crawley – Dark Angels
Steven’s Dark Angels were led by Azrael and Ezekiel due to their great stats and support abilities, while the Interrogator Chaplain and Talonmaster bring in a good hit aura and litany support as well!
Troops keep it to a minimum with 5 Infiltrators, which are decent and cheap bodies.
Then the real meat of the list starts in Elites with a Deathwing Ancient and 2 Deathwing Command Squads, which will go along the map with the main threat in this list… That being a giant blob of Terminators.
That blob is a massive 30 Terminators with Hammers and Shields for some insane melee pressure and very durable bodies! This ain’t no joke, and spamming them was clearly an effective strategy!
As it turns out, if your opponent can’t kill all your threats, your threats tend to win!
The list then closes out with an Apothecary for some heals each turn while the Terminators lay waste and soak wounds all game long!
