Here is the confirmed pre-order pricing for the Tau codex and miniatures for 10th Edition Warhammer 40k, along with way more!

There’s good news this week for hobbyists who want to expand their Warhammer collection by adding unique models to their collections or reading up on lore. Here are the new releases coming to pre-order with your favorite retailers on Saturday, April 27th, 2024, around 1 p.m. EST here in the States.

New 40k Tau, HH Solar Auxilia, BL, & More Pricing CONFIRMED!

New Warhammer 40k releases are up for pre-order, including the Tau Codex and models for 10th Edition, along with the “missing” Space Marine Heroes for Kill Team from September 2023, plus more Solar Auxilia models, Black Library books, and Orks for MTO.

The new Kroot Shapers, Krootox Rider, Rampagers, Carnivores, and Hounds add new options to the Kroot line and bring unique abilities previously unavailable to the Tau Empire. The Solar Auxilia Basilisk and Medusa tanks deliver powerful long-range firepower to defeat opponents hiding behind walls and ruins.

Codex: T’au Empire Retail Price: $60 CAD$70 €45 £37.50

The T’au Empire is on the cusp of a new dawn, and the Codex: T’au Empire will be on pre-order this Saturday. The new book is filled with updated 10th Edition Tau Empire 40k rules from detachments and datasheets, new Combat Patrol rules, and Crusade campaign rules.

The Collector’s Edition version of the codex is also available for T’au Empire hobbyists, featuring higher-end graphics and detailing than the standard book.

Best of all, T’au codex can be purchased separately, which is great for players who didn’t want the full army box a few weeks ago.

Kroot Shapers Retail Price: $35 CAD$45 €30 £22.50

Three fresh Kroot commanders have surfaced to assume authority over armies. The War Shaper is a seasoned warrior who leads from the front. The Trail Shaper enhances their ally’s ability to ambush their prey, and the Flesh Shaper serves a more supportive role comparatively.

As a leader for the new Kroot forces, these are three iconic miniatures to be sure. All three kits are mounted on an included 32mm base.

Kroot Lone-spear Retail Price: $55 CAD$65 €42.50 £32.50

Cavalry is a key element of the new lineup, making this solo model crucial to Kroot’s identity.This multi-part plastic kit builds a Kroot Lone-spear, which comprises 35 plastic components, and a 90mm x 52mm Oval Base.

Krootox Rider Retail Price: $45 CAD$55 €35 £27.50

As a new mounted ranged attacker, these Krootox riders offer something new and unique to the Kroot line. With their large weapons, they also bring new power to the Tau Empire as a whole!

This multi-part plastic kit builds one Krootox Rider comprising 43 plastic components and a 50mm Round Base.

Krootox Rampagers Retail Price: $60 CAD$75 €50 £37.50

T’au always lack melee power, but these cavalry options hitting pre-order may help to lessen that weak point.

This multi-part plastic kit builds three Krootox Rampagers comprising 77 plastic components and includes three 50mm Round Bases.

Kroot Carnivores Retail Price: $55 CAD$65 €42.50 £32.50

The Kroot Carnivores play a vital role in the lore and on the tabletop due to their lightly equipped nature, allowing them to move through dense terrain easily. Their new set of 10 miniatures has all-new weapon options and equipment to outfit these Kroot for combat!

This multi-part plastic kit builds a Kroot Lone-spear, which comprises 35 plastic components and includes a Citadel 90mm x 52mm Oval Base.

Kroot Hounds Retail Price: $40 CAD$50 €32.50 £25

One of the Kroot and Tau’s most effective tactics is the use of Kroot Hounds, which are fast and cheap models. Additionally, these hounds can hold objectives when they are near a Kroot Character, making them a valuable asset. Cheap mobile units also make for great distractions, so these will probably see competitive play like the old ones did every now and then.

This multi-part plastic kit builds five Kroot Hounds. It comprises 21 plastic components and includes five 28.5mm Round Bases.

Combat Patrol: T’au Empire Retail Price: $160 CAD$190 €125 £95

Looking pretty similar to the old Combat Patrol, this is a great starting place for anyone wanting to start Tau or get multiples of some super common models. You can check out our pricing and values post to see how much savings are in this new box, along with what to buy next for your army.

T’au Empire Dice Set & Datasheet Cards Retail Price: $35 CAD$40 €25 £20

T’au Empire players can score a pack of 16 frosted white dice adorned with pale blue pips and the T’au sept logo on the six. Access rules quickly with the Datasheet Card pack, which comprises 44 cards equipped with quick reference information and fancy blue foil edges.

This set of cards also works for Combat Patrol and regular Matched Play games of 40k, too!

Warhammer Heroes Series 4 Comes to Target (Sold Out)

The fourth series of the Space Marines Heroes series consists of seven miniatures from different Space Marine squads, including Intercessors, an Assault Intercessor, a Heavy Intercessor, an Eliminator, and a Captain. Each box contains a random figure.

After going missing in September 2023 in North America, the Warhammer Heroes blind box miniatures featuring Strike Force Justian were available on Target’s website in the United States but sold out in under an hour after the pre-order teaser was announced.

However, you can sign up for email alerts if they ever do happen to restock them online.

Sadly, the Space Marines Heroes Series 4 box has sold out at Target already. From what we observed, it took a little under an hour for them to sell out. Perhaps some stores will still receive shipments for the shelves, as GW indicated in their Sunday teaser post, so you may want to keep your eyes open the next time you are in a Target.

Solar Auxilia Basilisk & Medusa Retail Price: $65 CAD$80

The Basilisk is equipped with a powerful long-range Earthshaker cannon, while the Medusa is armed with a deadly Medusa mortar that can penetrate armor.

This multipart plastic kit builds one Solar Auxilia Basilisk or Medusa. It comprises 187 plastic components and a Solar Auxilia Vehicle Transfer Sheet containing 180 waterslide transfers.

Hermes Light Sentinel Squadron Retail Price: $65 CAD$80

The Hermes Light Sentinel is a fast and agile walker equipped with a powerful arsenal designed to catch its opponents off guard. This kit allows you to construct two Hermes Light Sentinels and provides various customization options, such as additional armor plates and weapons.

The light sentinel can be transformed into elite Hermes Veletaris Sentinels, better suited for launching direct frontal attacks.

Walkers are iconic for the Imperial Guard in Warhammer 40k, making these their spiritual predecessors.

This multi-part plastic kit builds two Hermes Light Sentinels or Hermes Veletaris Sentinels, comprises 110 plastic components, two 60mm Round Bases, and a Solar Auxilia Vehicle Transfer Sheet containing 180 high-quality waterslide transfers.

Made-to-Order Orks Direct From Warhammer Webstore Only

Three new MTO offerings are here for the Orks for anyone who may have missed out on them back in the day. Hobbyists can select from the pewter Dreadnought, Blood Axe Kommandos, or the classic squad of Nobz to add to their collections.

While these old minis might look out of place next to the current line of plastic Orks, they certainly have a particular charm about them!
