From Death Comes Life: Warzone Resurrection is No More

Mishima warzone resurrection

Sad news has hit today. The creators of Warzone Resurrection have announced that advancement for the game is ending. But it’s not all sad news.

Prodos Games dropped word that Warzone Resurrection would be ending due to a disagreement between the companies involved. There may not be any new models or lore advancement coming for the game, but a new tabletop adventure is being brought to life through Warzone’s death.

Prodos Games will support Warzone Resurrection in a non-profit way, by releasing free to download PDF with new or updated rules or providing prizes for WZR tournaments. However, we will not be able to release any new miniatures or products from the Mutant Chronicles Universe going forward.

While no new minis may be coming to the game, it’s not all doom and gloom. You’ll still be able to play the game as updates will come out in the future. You’ll also be able to buy any minis for the game at a 30% discount until October 9th, 2018

From Death Comes Life: Starcide

With the announcement of Warzone Resurrection ending, Prodos Games have decided to put their talents elsewhere. Their next big project is a game called Starcide.

Starcide is set in a Sci-fi universe pitting all kinds of factions against each other. Perhaps one of the most exciting bits of news is that the minis will be plastic injected!

Plastic injected minis are a pretty big deal. Starcide and its developers are keeping up with technology to bring high-quality models to the table.

If these models look familiar, that’s because they are! We actually saw these models a while back as an independent line of minis.

Legion of the Black Sun (blood-thirsted vampires and Soul-rending necromancers), Empire of Man (Unified Noble Houses of mankind) , Na’vo (cold-blooded reptiles), Prometheans (a human-like Psionic race), and the Locust (deadly insectoids with biotechnological space travel).

While it’s sad news that Warzone Resurrection will be no more, at least we can look forward to a new game coming from Prodos. Which faction will you be playing in Starcide? Are you still going to be playing Warzone Resurrection?
