Games Workshop has hit stores with heavy allocations once again for the basic starter set releases for Warhammer 40k.
It looks like allocations are back again for new Warhammer 40k releases. At least the smaller starter sets are pretty safe, but the individual models are as tight as we’ve seen. If you were planning on picking up those models by themselves, you’d need some luck.
Allocations have also been going on for five months now, so at this point; it seems to officially be a trend from Games Workshop headed into the middle of summer.
Warhammer 40k Grapples with Rising Allocations for Basic Items
- Ultimate & Basic Starter Sets: 2 per store
- Barbgaunts: 2 per Store
- Librarian in Terminator Armor: 2 per store
- Rulebook, Hobby, & 40k Intro Sets: 30 per store
This comes on the heels of The Lion being allocated once again, and it seems GW is just having an extremely hard time getting individual kits out.
At this point, though, with five months of allocations, we don’t see it getting much better. So if you have your eye on any individual unit or character releases, you better get to your store early or try to score them on the webstore before they are gone.
As we said, this has been many months in a row of allocations, including Leviathan, so let’s hope GW gets it in gear for the rest of the 10th edition and beyond.
