Hera & Her B-Wings – Star Wars Armada Tactics

The addition of Hera Syndulla to Star Wars Armada is a huge boon to your Rebel Fleet! Come and see what makes this tiny ship have such a big impact on the Armada game!

Hera is a squadron that has a healthy 8 hull, a brace token, and a full arsenal of blue and black anti squadron dice to throw out at the Imperials. She has the flexible Rogue ability and Grit, but the most important ability for her is that she is able to give 2 squadrons within range 1-2 of her Rogue as well. This is an amazing ability that will make her a force to be reckoned with in Rebel Fleets. Since she has a respectable armament for anti ship, let’s give her some B-Wing wingmates.

The ever deadly B-Wing, this bomber is the ultimate multi purpose tool with one huge drawback: it maxes out at speed 2. While very slow, if they are in the right place, they can put the hurt on some capital ships. This is where Hera comes in. With her ability to give 2 B-Wings Rogue they will have the reach they need to perform bombing runs with surgical precision. To make this little death squad even better, use Commander Sato as your admiral.

This admiral enables you to switch out attack dice when firing with a capital ship. For his ability to work, you have to have a squadron within range 1 of your target enemy capital ship. If so, then you may switch out up to 2 of your attack dice with a color of your choice. This is huge as your B-Wings will be in position to perform bombing runs, and your capital ships will be able to hammer the enemy that much harder. Booyah!

This mini squadron of fighters could act as a small ship activation of its own. It has plenty of dice, and will make your ships hit harder. Will you add Hera to your Rebel Fleet?
