From Downtown: Armada Carrier Tactics

This new Imperial carrier build can reach out and touch those pesky Rebel fighters. Swat down the Rebel squadron menace with this new ship!

The Quasar Fire-II is all about long range engagements. With it having a red die for anti squadron fire, this ship can really reach out and touch enemy squadrons with ease. To help those red dice hit their targets we have recruited Agent Kallus for his expertise.

Agent Kallus allows you to add a die of your choice when attacking enemy unique squadrons. If we are attacking at long range with a red die, a black die could force through damage with raw power. A blue die could add more accuracy. It all depends on which target presents itself. Another way to add damage could be through the use of Ruthless Strategists.

After attacking a squadron you may deal one damage to a friendly squadron engaged with the defender, and the defender suffers one damage in return. This is a way to get even more use out of our TIE fighter swarms. If they cannot destroy enemy fighters on their own, perhaps punishment can serve as a motivator to get them to finish the job.

To add to the fighter armaments, equip Flight Controllers. This upgrade allows any squadron that you activate add 1 blue die to its arsenal. This can be the difference in dealing those X-Wings the damage to destroy them outright. All of those blue dice can also be rerolled with Swarm, increasing their accuracy.

Since the Quasar Fire-II prefers long range combat, Gunnery Teams can help it to keep its wide front arc in the fight much longer. Attacking multiple squadrons within your front arc, or even ships can make the Quasar useful besides a squadron pusher. Adapt to the new upgrades in Wave VI to ensure your dominance over your opponents.
