Deadpool, meet Cable. The fourth wall is rubble by now, and we haven’t even reached May yet.

The juggernauts at Fox’s marketing company certainly haven’t lost their touch, coming out with brilliance that needs to be experienced along with its product. From 20th Century Fox, comes yet another highly-anticipated trailer for the upcoming Deadpool sequel, with a star attraction: Cable!

With the previous trailer for the upcoming film featuring Deadpool in a Bob Ross parody, the new one continues the wonderful trend of unique, creative jokes tearing down the mysticism that is movie-making, this time showing Cable before the special effects are implemented, and given a nice Wade Wilson-style re-enactment of a fight between him and the cyborg mutant (with the painting he made last trailer cleverly hidden in the background). With plenty of exciting snippets follow, we can see the merc with a mouth in a various wonderful amount of exciting situations, including being in a prison riot, fighting off foes with a frying pan, in the backseat of the returning taxi driver Dopinder, and allies Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) and Domino (Zazie Beetz).

Not to mention the focus of the film, Cable (played by Josh Brolin, who appears in Infinity Wars just 14 days prior to this one as Thanos), appearing in many exciting scenes, as well, of course, as confronting the regenerating mercenary. The time-traveling son of Cyclops has always had a connection with Deadpool in the comics, with every time he travels to the past, Wade somehow manages to find him, convinced that the burly cyborg is his best bud. Cable himself finds Deadpool dangerous, and unpredictable, but useful, and begrudgingly allies with the red-suited merc time and time again.

Having the movie release roughly two weeks after The Avengers: Infinity War Part 1, May is going to be an exciting time for comic and superhero fans alike. The Merc with a Mouth returns to cinema in the aptly-named “Untitled Deadpool Sequel” on May 18th, 2018
