All the new GW releases from early June into July are still available across platforms- here are the links to where you can still find them.

Most of these Games Workshop releases are orderable, but they might be low on stock or higher in price already on the secondary market. So be sure to check out all of the offerings and pick up anything you might want while they are still available…

Some of these may also still be available on GW’s store, but they are often cheaper when the allocations were favorable from stores elsewhere. Of course, if you can get them at your LGS at a discount, that may be a great place to spend your hobby dollars as well!

Legiones Astartes Special Weapons Upgrade Set Retail Price: $42

You will need a copy of the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Age of Darkness Rulebook and either the Liber Astartes: Loyalist Legiones Astartes Army Book or Liber Hereticus: Traitor Legiones Astartes Army Book to make full use of these upgrades.

It’s always great to upgrade your models, but with rules attached to them, you might need to pick this up to make your list as efficient as possible.

Legiones Astartes Heavy Weapons Upgrade Set (Missile Launchers and Heavy Bolters) Retail Price: $42

This upgrade kit comprises 120 plastic components and is designed to be assembled with the MKVI Tactical Squad set, which is sold separately. These components are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.

Similar to the special weapons, these might prove to be an essential part of your Horus Heresy armies.

Kratos Heavy Assault Tank Retail Price: $125

New tanks are always exciting, especially when they might be pretty good if they cross over to 40k as well!

Deimos Pattern Rhino Retail Price: $47

This new rhino has some extra guns, but a mode of transport is also an essential part of any space marine list.

Mk III Tactical Squad Retail Price: $80

This set comprises 324 plastic components, and is supplied with 20x Citadel 32mm Round Bases and a Legiones Astartes Infantry Transfer Sheet. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.

This kit also includes the components to equip Legionaries with up to two plasma guns, two melta guns, two heavy bolters, and two thunder hammers – note that these options are not valid for a Legion Tactical Squad as found in the Liber Astartes rulebooks, but can be used to create a Legion Veteran Squad, reinforce your Legion Tactical Support or Heavy Support Squads, or build Tactical Squads for games of Warhammer 40,000.

These “knight” looking marines are sweet, so they are definitely worth consideration, even if you use them as proxies in 40k!

Mk IV Tactical Squad Retail Price: $80

This set comprises 344 plastic components, and is supplied with 20x Citadel 32mm Round Bases and a Legiones Astartes Infantry Transfer Sheet. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.

This kit also includes the components to equip Legionaries with up to two plasma guns, two melta guns, two flamers, two heavy bolters, and two missile launchers – note that these options are not valid for a Legion Tactical Squad as found in the Liber Astartes rulebooks, but can be used to create a Legion Veteran Squad, reinforce your Legion Tactical Support or Heavy Support Squads, or build Tactical Squads for games of Warhammer 40,000.

Sporting the more iconic 40k look, these might be better for those coming from 40k to try out Horus Heresy and want something more familiar.

Old school (lore-wise) Ahriman looks sick, and might even make for some sweet 40k conversions too!

The Horus Heresy Legion Transfer Sheets Retail Price: $35

Make your new army your own with 18 separate transfer sheets – one for each Legion. Each of these contains more than 500 decals, including vehicle markings, script, and assorted infantry markings, tailored to your chosen side.

Transfer sheets are great because they are an easy way to personalize your entire force without too much of a monetary cost.

The Horus Heresy Legion Dice Retail Price: $38

Likewise, you can pledge yourself fully to your chosen Legion with one of 18 sets of themed dice. You get 20 six-sided dice in each set, in the colours of the corresponding Legion – one of which is a scatter dice. Each Legion has its emblem stamped on the 6 face.

Dice are also a great optional product, but even if you only play 40k, these legion themes are still applicable for you.

If black and red are more your thing, these Blood Angels Death Company Intercessors will suit your tastes. Fuelled by the inherited memory of their Primarch’s death and equipped with fearsome close-quarters weapons, they’re a worthy addition to any display shelf.

This new unit for Sylvaneth looks to be a strong one as any ranged options in the melee dense AOS are usually worth considering.

Spiterider Lancers Retail Price: $60

This multipart plastic kit builds three Spiterider Lancers, forest spirits mounted atop insectoid dragonspites. Wearing knightly horned helms and armed with long magical spears, these elite cavalry fighters can soar across massive distances into a devastating charge, and are infused with vital energies that allow them to repair all but the most grievous wounds. One Spiterider Lancer can be assembled as a Spiterider Scion unit leader, another as a Banner Bearer, and another as a Hornblower. The kit includes a variety of shield designs, heads, and different ways to assemble each dragonspite, as well as a choice of two different instruments for your Hornblower, so no two units need look the same. This set can alternatively be assembled as Revenant Seekers.

Auric Flamekeeper Retail Price: $33.50

This multipart plastic kit builds one Auric Flamekeeper, a funerary support Hero and Totem for Fyreslayer armies. Garbed in his sacred salamander-skin cloak and stern death mask, this duardin bears aloft the burning Masterflame Rune in one hand and wields a flaming brazier axe in the other. In battle, these warrior-priests wade into combat wherever the fighting is hardest, calling on the ur-gold power harvested from their fallen comrades to activate one of a range of magical effects.

Starting a string of AoS characters, this new one is from a recent battle box and can now be bought separately.

Akhelian Thrallmaster Retail Price: $33.50

This multipart plastic kit builds one Akhelian Thrallmaster, a flexible support Hero for Idoneth Deepkin. Clad in the roguish, flowing outfit of a noble exile, this well-traveled noble is bristling with exotic weaponry and accompanied by a snapjaw eel companion. In battle, the Akhelian Thrallmaster is an excellent choice to lead a small force of Namarti Thralls and Reavers, or support them on the front lines in a larger army. The Thrallmaster can swap between fighting stances, each of which offers them – and nearby Namarti units – different abilities, allowing them to adapt to the shifting tides of war.

Available outside of his battle box, this character is an easy pickup for Idoneth Deepkin players.

High Gladiatrix Retail Price: $35

This multipart plastic kit builds one High Gladiatrix, a pit-fighting Hero for Daughters of Khaine armies. Twirling her barbed whip around herself, this elegant and intimidating figure comes with a choice of two heads – one wearing a mask in the style of the Sisters of Slaughter, and one bare head. She can also be built with one of two styles of gladiatrix blade – either a curved dagger or a double-bladed spear – allowing for loads of variety in your murderous aelves. Scriptor Mortis Retail Price: $38

This multipart plastic kit builds one Scriptor Mortis, a malignant Hero for Nighthaunt armies. Surrounded by dribbling candles and the vapours of a spectral lantern, this bitter and vengeful scholar floats before an ornate skeletal lectern, making for a striking leader of your spectral hordes. A Scriptor Mortis can sentence enemy Heroes to endless punishment, inflicting a doom that creeps ever-closer as the battle drags on. GW New Releases: July 9th

New Citadel Color Paints & More: Pricing & Where To Get Yours

There are over 30 new and redone GW contrasts and shades. One thing to note about all the paints is they will be on a 2-week pre-order. We’re not sure if they will sell out or what, but might as well grab something if you like it, just in case.

New Citadel Contrast Paints $7.80 Each

Contrast has revolutionised the way we paint our armies. This massively successful range has allowed hobbyists of all levels to achieve the results they want in a quick, fresh, and easy way. The already-impressive Contrast lineup is set to receive 25 new hues.

Since the introduction of Contrast, we’ve had access to new techniques and easier ways to paint huge amounts of models quickly, so new options are always great!

These are some of the brightest and boldest colours yet, including fiery reds and oranges, icy blues, and vibrant greens and purples. They all go up for pre-order this Saturday, so clear some space on your shelves* and start dreaming up new ways to put the expanded range to use.

These are quite bright across the board, so it will be interesting to see what hobbyists come up with as far as usage goes.

New & Reformulated Shades $7.80 Each

All Shade paints have been reformulated to flow better, settling into the recesses while adding a bit less pigment to flat surfaces, making them even more useful.

In addition to reformulating these beloved paints (and don’t fret, they’re the same great colours – they just go on smoother and better than ever before) they went ahead and added seven new Shade paints to the range! There’s something here for just about every project, and you’ll be able to pre-order all the new and reformulated existing colours starting this Saturday.

Shades are another great technical option for painting and new options are always great!

The new options look pretty interesting, and with an update to all shades, hopefully, they all are better in the long run too…

White Scar Spray Retail Price: $22

Sometimes you just need a crisp, bright white undercoat to give your model the perfect start – and that’s where the new White Scar Spray comes in. It’s the perfect compliment to the existing sprays – Grey Seer offers a wonderful cool white, and Wraithbone a rich, creamy base – and now the trinity is complete! White Scar gives you that brilliant white base you’ve always wanted.

Pure white is a good undercoat assuming you want to paint bright colors! This new primer is a great tool for any hobbyist, especially since it pairs well with contrast paints.

White Dwarf 478 $11 (GW Exclusive)

White Dwarf is Games Workshop’s premium Warhammer magazine, packed with amazing content each month – including new rules and background, short stories, regular columns, special guests, and more.

478 is an essential issue for sci-fi fans, with expanded rules for terrain in Kill Team, and the first in a new series of articles for the latest edition of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy.

White Dwarf always has a little bit for everyone, so if you like browsing a variety of things about Warhammer this is a great pickup for you.
