new-gw-releases-primaris-space-marineFrom rumors to finally reveals the Space Marines have at least 12 new unit releases still on the way beyond Indomitus. Check out what’s next!

Primaris Marines are seeing more support than ever before in 9th Edition. With Indomitus bringing all-new models to the table, they were only the tip of the iceberg. Check out the latest roundup of units that are still on the way for Space Marines.

codex space marinesKeep in mind that we don’t know what the codex supplements for main Chapters like Dark Angels, Blood Angels, and Space Wolves will bring exactly. However from everything we’ve gathered, here’s what we can keep our eyes peeled for release-wise as it looks to be at least 12 new kits for Space Marines in general (plus book and accessories).

From Rumors to Reveals: The 12 New Space Marines Releases

Invader ATV action shot

invader atv squadFirst up, we’ve got the Invader ATV and whew, these guys have a chunky statline. With a 14″ Move and 8 Wounds, these little Mario Kart-looking models won’t just roll over for anyone. They are only T5 but a little harasser unit of up to three models per squad can be surprisingly tanky. Looking at the datasheet, these ATVs have the option of taking an onslaught gatling cannon or a multi-melta.

firestrike servo turret datasheetNow onto the Firestrike Servo Turret. This model moves a massive 3″ (lol) and has a nifty 2+ BS and 2+ Sv. You’ve got the option of taking a 6-shot autocannon or a 4-shot las talon. Once again we have more anti-Primaris firepower OR a gut-wrenching amount of anti-armor firepower. For just 4PL, you can get four las talon shots that hit on a 2+. That’s enough to make a Knight player’s stomach turn.

Hammerfall Drop Turret Terrain Piece

hammerfall missile launcher

hammerfall drop turret defensive arrayThe Hammerfall Drop Turret is on the way to the Primaris line at some point as well. Being officially previewed with a couple of rules tasters, we can see that the missile turret on top can reach virtually anywhere on the board with a 72″ range. Plus, the guns on the sides can shoot at every target it’s in range of.

These rapid-deployment bastions are the ultimate area-denial assets, as their automated guns blaze away at EVERY ENEMY UNIT WITHIN RANGE. Approach this murder-bunker of doom at your peril!

Primaris Gladiator Tank

Spotted during the Indomitus celebration previews, we’ve seen the Gladiator which looks like the baby of a Repulsor Executioner and Impulsor. This tank is looking light and fast with a bunch of different wargear options for taking on just about any battlefield role.

Gladiator tankYou could build a Gladiator Lancer – an anti-tank sniper that’s ideal for chewing through your opponents’ most durable war machines and monsters.

Gladiator variant 2Next up is the Gladiator Reaper, a great anti-infantry option that’s sure to tear through hordes of infantry models.

Gladiator variant 3Gladiator Valiant – a short-ranged armour hunter that uses twin las-talons and multi-meltas to scrap armour and heavy infantry alike.

Primaris Techmarine

Tech marine in armyYour prayers to the Omnissiah have been answered! One of the most requested units for Space Marines, the Primaris Techmarine is on his way to repair your tanks and tear your foes limb from limb!

With the signature axe and backpack, there’s no mistaking this character on the field. Not to mention the awesome “Doc Ock” arms that they each come with as well.

Primaris Chaplain on Bike

bike chapWith all the fiery zeal of their foot-slogging counterparts, these warriors exhort nearby battle-brothers to heightened acts of valour and martial prowess. And they look great doing it.

Captain with Master-Crafted Heavy Bolt Rifle

Heavy Intercessors

heavy intercessor datasheetHeavy Intercessors have also been announced. They’re also coming with Gravus armor and a variety of different heavy bolt weaponry. They’ve also got the new Core keyword. We’ve already covered what purpose this keyword is going to have soon and it’s pretty monumental.

Multi-Part Eradicators

Eradicators SquadThe kit includes loads more options, such as the ability to swap out their melta rifles for an even harder-hitting heavy version. You’ll even be able to give one Eradicator in the set a multi-melta, complete with its devastating new profile.

This re-release from Indomitus is going to also be multi-part, so you should get a little more freedom with it than any Indomitus versions you may have.

Multi-Part Bladeguard Veterans

blade guard veterans gw preview multi-partThese new Bladeguard Veterans will also be coming in a new multipart kit so you’ll have more poses and kits to choose from.

Multi-Part Assault Intercessors

Assault Intecessor squadA multipart Assault Intercessors kit is also on its way. In addition to more flexible posing options throughout, the squad’s Sergeant can be assembled with a hand flamer or plasma pistol, and can even wield a power sword, power fist, or thunder hammer too!

Stormspeeder Variants

Stormstike speeder 1There’s no questioning it, that pixelated image we saw back in 2019 is right here! There will be three loadout variants, so let’s check them out.

Storm Speeder hail strikeAs the option containing the minigun style turret its fair to assume this is going to be the anti-troop option with more shots at lower damage and rend then the others.

Storm Speeder THunderstrikeThe Thunderstrike ditches the minigun for a heavier gun and a new top turret. Perhaps offering a slightly heavier, anti-armor option, without going all in.

Storm speeder hammer strikeAnd the last of the Strom speeders is the Hammerstrike. We’ve also seen its datasheet already and it’s got the big damage weapons.

storm speeder hammerstrike datasheetPretty standard speeder with good movement, an okay stat line (for a lightly armored vehicle), and great weapons. It appears to be the heaviest of the three options, and the weapon load-outs support that. Two shots at S8 AP -3 and 3 Damage is a slugfest in the making, no to mention the Melta Destroyer giving it three more shots instead at AP -4 and D6 damage with +2 damage at half range.

There’s no debate that Space Marines are getting more support than they ever did in 8th Edition! It’ll be exciting to see just how long it takes for all of these kits to hit the shelves.
