GW revealed a new Warhammer 40k 10th edition Dark Angels Combat Patrol to reinforce all the new releases for the faction!
These Combat Patrol boxes are a great choice for new players who are interested in exploring a particular faction. They offer a quick and easy way to assemble a small army and jump straight into playing games. These sets are similar to the Start Collecting Sets which were introduced by GW in 2016, and are designed to help players get a feel for the faction and start building their skills right away.
GW Reveals New 40k 10th Edition Dark Angels Combat Patrol!
Here is the latest on the new Dark Angels Combat Patrol box set from Warhammer Community. This wasn’t on the Sunday preview, but it looks like GW edited their article to include the box set since it was published. Either way, you can pre-order it on February 24th.
The Unforgiven return to the world of Combat Patrol with a revamped box for this fast and furious Warhammer 40,000 game mode. This box contains 19 miniatures, including a Captain in Gravis Armour, three Bladeguard Veterans, five Hellblasters, and 10 Intercessors. On top of that you’ll get two Dark Angels Primaris Upgrade sprues, and three transfer sheets containing 221 decals each – note that these are different from the Dark Angels Upgrades and Transfers described above.
Luckily, this box has a decent spread of units and not much money in characters! We’ve seen a lot of the Space Marine boxes have a ton of their value held in points. This box has a lot of foot sloggers, which is great for newer players starting an army or more veteran players who want to expand their army.
The upgrade sprue included from the Dark Angels Intercessors box set offers a lot of bits and decals, even though they are the older ones from the previous set. This allows you to customize your force and give it a distinct Dark Angels look and feel.
This could be a great starting point if you were hesitant about starting a Dark Angels army. However, it’s worth noting that this box set does not contain any of the new miniatures that were included in the Deathwing Assault box. Nonetheless, it’s a nice mix between the two sets.
