seraphon-rules-new-skinks-lizardment-age-of-sigmarGW just revealed new rules for the AoS Seraphon Raptadon Hunters and Chargers, which will be in the new army box!

With the new Seraphon Army Box dropping soon, it’s nice to see what the new units inside will be able to do (and there will be four of them)! With so many new models in the box, we expect GW to keep the rules coming, so hopefully, these aren’t the only rules we see.

If you’ve always wanted to run some Skink calvary in your army, now is the time! Not only are the models pretty dope, but the rules are also shaping up excellent as well!

New AoS Seraphon Raptadon Hunters & Chargers Rules Revealed By GW!

The new rules come from Warhammer Community.

Seraphon Raptadon Hunters Rules

These swift Skink cavalry have developed a devious twin-pronged strategy to make the most of their mounts’ innate speed and synchronised pack movement. The first wave of a Seraphon assault often comprises a blistering one-two punch of Raptadon Hunters and Raptadon Chargers.

A certain Cold-blooded Unity between the two units allows Raptadon Chargers to deal increased damage with their Tepok Lances if the unit they target has already been distracted by a hail of celestite-tipped javelins from their Hunter counterparts.

This is interesting, as you want to (in some ways) run both types of units, as the Tepok Lances get stronger if you hit them with the Hunters in the same turn. Still, this puts the to-hit roll to a 3+, so without that, you’re only hitting 50% of the time.

Either way, with three attacks and a possible 3+/3+, they are looking pretty deadly.

Seraphon Raptadon Hunters Rules 2

Operating with a lethal harmony, Raptadon Hunters react to their charging brethren with sharp reflexes, letting loose surprise volleys from their Starstone Atlatl that rain down at the end of their owner’s charge phase. This Deadly Cohesion of withering ranged attack and lightning-fast charge can only land if the Hunters remain within 12” of the unit engaged by the Chargers’ target unit while also staying 3” from enemy units.

This is a cool synergy, as getting a second round of shots off is really strong. Plus, when combined with the rule above, it should make both units super strong with one another.

What do you think of the new Seraphon rules?
