Games Workshop revealed two new Horus Heresy Apothecary models to keep your legion on the field (or at least their Gene-Seed safe).
If you want to keep your marines going through serious injuries, these are going to be for you! It looks like you will get two per pack, but you can field up to eight for one Elite slot, so you might need to grab a few more of these. Like most Horus Heresy characters, these will be in (Forge World) resin, so that’s also something to keep in mind.
Horus Heresy Gets Two Space Marine Apothecary Models
The latest on the new Horus Heresy Apothecaries comes from Warhammer Community.
Space Marines are tough as nails and clad in the best armour ever invented, but even they can get injured – especially when fighting Astartes on the opposite side of the Horus Heresy. In fact, so great is the need for on-the-spot surgical skills that Apothecaries regularly wade right into the thick of battle to suture war wounds and gather gene-seed from the fallen.
Your Legion’s Apothecarion is receiving reinforcements from two newcomers in armour from the latter stages of the Horus Heresy – one is in sleek MK VI Corvus plate, while the other rocks the studded MK V Heresy pattern.
It’s cool to get two marks of armor, and it lets you match them up with your different squads. The models themselves look pretty cool and should be fun little additions to your squads.
Rules
These Apothecaries are lightly armed, each with a chainsword and their signature narthecium, though fighting is far from their most important duty. By attaching to another unit, they grant the valuable Feel No Pain (5+) skill to their comrades, keeping your legionaries fighting fit in the face of grievous injuries.
Giving a unit a 5+ FNP is pretty sweet and should save a decent number of marines! But if worse comes to worse; you can at least save the gene seed for the next marine.
