keep of secrets slaanesh loreGW is giving us one more preview ahead of the pre-order with 4 new unit rules for AoS Hedonites of Slaanesh – check it out!

Warhammer Community revealed some teasers for the Myrmidesh Painbringers, Symbaresh Twinsouls, Blissbarb Seekers, and Sigvald. If you’ve been waiting to see what the Magnificent One can do this will give you a little taste! We also may know how big of a base the Glutos Orscollion is going to be!

Let’s first look at the rules released earlier in the week, then we’ll jump into the new stuff!

4 New Unit Rules for AoS Hedonites of Slaanesh

hedonites of slaanesh battletomeFrom the grim darkness of the far future, our festive sleigh ride takes us to the Mortal Realms. In our last Warhammer Preview Online, we showed off some of the incredible new Hedonites of Slaanesh models that are on the way, including the legendary Sigvald the Magnificent.

Glutos OrscollionLast but by no means least, the realms’ pre-eminent gourmand rides atop his spectacular palanquin on his quest to sample the most exquisite flavours he can lay his hands on. Glutos Orscollion is both a consummate mage and is flanked by skilled fighters, making him the perfect Leader for your Hedonite force.

These are just some of the new minis coming out with the release! If you want to see all 11 of the new units/minis coming out, check it out here! Now though, let’s get into the new rules!

Godseekers:

Blissbarb Seekers

  • They gain an extra inch on all charge moves (whether mounted or not)
  • A Godseeker host can take Seeker Chariots as a Battleline unit

Well, if you wanted to take an all mounted force full of Seekers and Chariots, this is the way to go!

Invaders:

Myrmidesh Painbringers

  • Allow you to take 3 generals
  • Taking a Lord of Pain will unlock Myrmidesh Painbringers and Symbaresh Twinsouls as Battleline units.

Looks like you will have plenty of options for more elite forces with the Hedonites. Also, they don’t say how many wounds, but they do mention the Myrmidesh Painbringers and Symbaresh Twinsouls will have more than one wound.

Pretenders:

Sigvald the Magnificent

  •  A Pretender general can select two different command traits to take into battle
  • All Pretender units with 10 or more models can re-roll hit rolls of 1, whether at range or in melee combat

Well, if you want to take Sigvald this seems the perfect way to do it! Also, you can grab some big units of Daemonettes or Blissbarb Archers and get a little more consistency in your hit rolls.

Myrmidesh Painbringers

Myrmidesh Painbringers

Dance of the Wailing BladeNothing wrong with dealing more mortal wounds! If you get a lucky roll, these guys can dish out some serious pain. We’ll still have to wait and see just how many attacks each one gets, but we assume it will be fairly high.

Symbaresh Twinsouls

Symbaresh Twinsouls

Fractured SoulsSince they are half controlled by the Daemons in their bodies they are a little erratic. Just make sure you line up which rule you must use for the turn to get the most efficiency. While both are good, rerolling all your hits when you first get them into combat is pretty nice especially when they’re at 4+ to hit. But three attacks at d2 with the rerolls could be quite devastating.

Blissbarb Seekers

Blissbarb Seekers

new unit rules3 attacks a piece is nothing to overlook, a unit of five can move 14″, run, and then still shoot 15 shots. Basically, you can get these in range of almost anything or get where they need to go in no time. Not to mention between the rider and mount they get three attacks apiece in melee.

Sigvald, Prince of Slaanesh

Sigvald the Magnificent

Sigvald Rules

You really want to be charging with Sigvald! He attacks right away, adds 3 to his charge move, and gets a number of attacks equal to the role! If you get really lucky he can make 12 attacks, but the average will be 7 attacks at 2+ to hit, 3+ to wound with a -2  Rend, and D3 damage! He will be able to lay most things low without much trouble.

Glutos Orscollion Base Size

Glutos OrscollionIf you look at the Keeper of Secrets it is on a 100mm base. If you turn the base of this sideways it’s almost twice as big! We think it’s going to be on a 170mm Knight base which is just massive. This thing is going to take up some serious room on the battlefield!
