The Grognard Command and Heavy Weapons are about to go on preorder! You won’t have to wait long now to expand your forces with elite units.
The hobby maniacs at Wargames Atlantic have been bringing us a bunch of cool new minis lately! This week they just previewed some new Grognard units and we are excited for them to hit preorder!
The main forces of the Grognards are really cool but they lacked the elite units. Not for long though! All of the minis in the new set look really cool and they have all kinds of bits as well. They even revamped the sprue layout to give us even more stuff. If you’ve been looking to expand your army, these are worth checking out! Let’s take a closer look at the preview.
Grognard Command Team:
Lead your forces to battle with these hardened warriors! It looks like you’ll get a medic, comms, Chef de Battalion, sniper, and Eagle bearer, not too shabby! These make for great affordable alternative minis and tons of conversions! If you want to see more of what Wargames Atlantic is up to, check it out here.
Grognard Heavy Weapons:
Both the Grognard Command and heavy weapons look great! They are coming out with a really cool variety of weapon platforms that can be used in a bunch of game systems. They also mention the last weapon platform can be kitbashed into a grav-speeder. Just a great looking set of minis at a very affordable price!
Sprue Layout:
They have changed the layout of their frames a little to get you even more bits. Let’s hear what they have to say about it:
And last but not least the frame layout. As you may have noticed we’ve included some female heads in the mix and you get one of each type. You’ll also have ALL heads for every figure in each style with or without gas masks. The set will feature 3 of these frames to allow you to build up to 6 heavy weapons teams. Parts are backward compatible with the Grognard infantry set also.
This frame is in tooling now and we expect a test shot in the next week or so with an estimated December release. Keep an eye out for pre-orders in the near future.
Everything above was expertly painted and photographed by Matthew Leahy.
That does it for this preview, but keep an eye out for the release!
