flesh-eater-courts-title-army-box-new-age-of-sigmarNew Flesh-Eater Courts battletome rules are here, including a new Battle Trait to show how noble your army is in Age of Sigmar!

With the battletome, minis, and even a new army box revealed, you know GW wouldn’t leave us without some new rules for too long!

The new rules are pretty flavorful and let you perform a bunch of noble deeds to buff up the rest of your army! The more noble deeds you perform, the more powerful your army gets, and some of the buffs are pretty huge.

GW Reveals New AoS Flesh-eater Courts Battle Trait & Rules!

The new Flesh-Eater Courts rules come from Warhammer Community.

Flesh-eater Courts Battle Trait

The heroic paladins who lead the Flesh-eater Courts to war earn Noble Deeds points for performing feats of arms on the battlefield, such as conjuring powerful magics, chanting prayers, and engaging the champions and veterans of the enemy in mortal combat.

There are some pretty easy ways to gain these, as you can cast spells, chant prayers, and wounds dealt by heroes. However, individual heroes will have to get enough points to inspire their followers. So, you’ll want to bring plenty in your army.

Flesh-eater Courts Battle Trait 2

Perform enough Noble Deeds, and nearby followers will enter a feverish state of jubilance, abandoning themselves to a Feeding Frenzy in recognition of the deeds of their liege, and adding 1 Attack in melee.

While 6 points might be hard to get, adding one extra attack to all units in 12 is quite strong. This could happen after a single round of combat, so it’s not too crazy.

Flesh-eater Courts Battle Trait 3

Courtier models become rallying points for the Serfs and Knights who serve them. At the end of the movement phase, they bellow rousing speeches, encouraging their bannermen to return to the frey with renewed vigour.

For each Noble Deeds point spent, one Serf – a Crypt Ghoul or Crypt Guard – can be returned to a unit wholly within 10” of the Courtier. For every two points, a Coutier can also return one Knight to a unit of Crypt Flayers, Crypt Horrors, or Morbheg Knights. As long as there are points to be spent, Courtiers can keep returning subjects to the battle.

This is pretty sweet, as you can bring back a decent number of Serfs and even Knights! If you take some heavy casualties, save up those noble deed points. They also mention Abhorrants can bring back entire units, but we’re not sure how many points that will take.

Courts of Delusion

Flesh-eater Courts Battle Trait 4

In the first battle round, a Flesh-eater Courts player picks one of five Delusions to apply to the battle. When the delusion of a Crusading Army is cast over the courts, all units add 1 to run rolls and charge rolls. If an Abhorrant perceives a threat to their kingdom, they become Defenders of the Realm, adding 1 to save rolls for units contesting objectives they control.

This is pretty nice, as you can either go more defensive or just make your army run fast and get stuck into combat!
