We knew that Adeptus Custodes were getting their time in the sun very soon and with the datasheets being inside of Shadow Throne, it’s coming up fast! Let’s check out the new datasheets and compare them to the old ones.
New Adeptus Custodes 40k Rules Trajann Datasheet SPOTTED
This were spotted on Imgur as the new IKEA simplified rules have gotten spotted online. Let’s compare it to the old Adeptus Custodes rules Datasheet and see what’s changed.

New Bonuses:
- +1 to Wounds, Attacks, and Leadership (was 7, 5, 10, now 8, 6, 11 respectively)
- Watcher’s Axe [melee] now 3 flat damage (was D3)
What we don’t know:
- Unique abilities? (Misericordia – probably weapon line two in picture above)
- Invulnerable save?
- Reroll aura?
- Moment shackle?
- Faction-wide rules and impact on the unit?
- Synergy with Custodes?

Overall, Trajann looks to have gotten way better thanks to the huge buff on his melee damage! Gone are the days of rolling a 1 for damage, now you get the old max of 3 every time guaranteed! Assuming he keeps most of his auras/abilities without seeing a point increase after the full book drops in 2022 he may be an auto-include!
Look for the Adeptus Custodes codex to hit store shelves alongside the Genestealer Cults. As it’s probably the next major codex release for 40k and assumed to be going on pre-order in the beginning weeks of 2022 (we hope).
