10th Edition Space Marines New Releases

Some of these box sets are still holdovers from 9th Edition, so it’s nice to finally see them get their own separate kits. However, most new pre-orders are the new releases revealed at the 2023 Nova Open! Perhaps, best of all, a new codex is here, and it’s a giant 216-page book.

This multipart plastic kit builds one Space Marine Chaplain clad in durable Terminator armour. This inspiring orator stomps into battle, crushing skulls with a crozius arcanum – his deadly staff of office. This multipart plastic kit builds a Space Marine Captain and four Company Heroes to accompany him into battle. You can arm the Captain with a master-crafted bolter, plasma pistol, or neo-volkite pistol in one hand, and a power fist or power sword in the other. His retinue includes a Company Champion armed with a two-handed power sword, an Ancient bearing aloft an ornate banner, and two Company Veterans carrying master-crafted firearms – one with a bolt rifle, the other with a heavy bolter.

New Warcry Warbands & Underworlds Starters: Pre-Order Pricing & Links

Warhammer Underworlds Deathgorge Retail Price:$110 €80 £65

A complete and concise rulebook for Warhammer Underworlds. Deathgorge emphasises the use of Rivals decks, offering new ways to mix up your games and keep things fresh and balanced. The fascinating background material explores the frozen tunnels in the realm of Ghur, riddled with treasures if you’re brave enough to claim them.

– The complete Thricefold Discord warband – three daemons dedicated to Slaanesh, and each blessed by the Dark Prince in different ways. Led by Vexmor the Excessively Indolent, Lascivyr, the Bladed Blessing and Vashtiss the Coiled offer their blades and sinister magic to create a balanced trio. These push-fit models are cast in deep purple to look the part even when unpainted, and they also include a unique Rivals deck so you can get them on the table right away.

Beginners can also find their way into Warhammer Underworlds with a new starter set, which will be available from select retailers. It’s on sale from Saturday the 7th of October, and differs slightly from the current Warhammer Underworlds: Starter Set.

It contains two warbands – Ironsoul’s Condemnors and the Sepulchral Guard – as well as their Rivals decks and everything else you need to play. It’s a gentle introduction into the exciting (and decidedly un-gentle) world of Warhammer Underworlds, and the set will even run you through how to play through an example game before you tackle a full game yourself.

If you’re getting into the game, this is the way to go, and we hope the price tag makes it easy to get into.

Warcry Hunter & Hunted Retail Price: $130 €105 £80

This multipart plastic kit builds a full Kruleboyz Monsta-killaz warband, for use in games of Warcry. These cunning fighters are led by a scarred Beastnob, while the Bawla Boy bashes out a threatening beat to terrify quarry and rivals. Cruel orruk Neckslicers are joined by Gnarlwood Howlaz – tamed simian creatures that help lure larger fauna out of their dens. The warband is rounded out by the diminutive Klutcha-grot, tasked with raiding monster-nests and snatching whatever they can get their grotty hands on.

Devastating earthquakes have rived the Gnarlwood, and now something stirs deep below the forest’s surface. These tremors have wrought terrible damage across the Sundered Scales. Still, they have also uncovered many strange relics – some of Seraphon origin and others of an even more mysterious provenance.

This multipart plastic scenery kit allows you to fight battles amongst the ruins found in the ancient heart of the forests of Ghur, with 17 pieces of modular terrain, including:
– 1x Starfire pylon
– 1x Idol of Motzlpota
– 1x Elder Gnarloak
– 2x Shattered posts
– 2x Jars of Quetzl
– 2x Stone walkways
– 2x Rope bridges
– 2x Gnarlbriar
– 4x Stone ruins

These terrain pieces can be gluelessly linked in various configurations, allowing you to adjust your Gnarloaks and Rope Bridges to suit each game. They are also fully compatible with other Ravaged Lands terrain kits, allowing you to build, rearrange, and expand a sprawling forest for games of Warcry or Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

The box also includes a Gnarlwood battlefield mat – a double-sided 22″ x 30″ folding game board, the perfect size for games of Warcry. Depicting a deadly swamp with hazards marked on the surface – a fresh challenge for your games as the ground itself becomes a threat.

You’ll also find a set of 12 terrain cards, and a sheet of 78 tokens, for use in your games of Warcry.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar Warbands Retail Price: Normally $42 €34 £26 each (GW Webstore Direct)

Originally released for Warhammer Underworlds,these warbands all have rules in Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and are getting a standalone release in grey plastic without their cards. The warbands are the Gorechosen of Dromm, Hexbane’s Hunters, The Shadeborn, Blackpowder’s Buccaneers, Da Kunnin’ Krew, Skittershank’s Clawpack, The Exiled Dead, and Xandire’s Truthseekers.

Like with all the warbands, you can use them in AoS, but they come with all the boxed game stuff. So now, you can buy the warbands without all the cards you wouldn’t need.

White Dwarf 493 Retail Price: $11 €9 £6.99

October’s issue ofWhite Dwarfis packed with amazing Warhammer content as always. There are new rules for a Warhammer Age of Sigmar narrative campaign, as well as new scenarios, and painting and gaming advice. The Warhammer 40,000 Tale of Four Warlords continues alongside Crusade rules for the Tome Keepers, while Warcry gets a dose of Courage and Cruelty with quests and artefacts for the Vulkyn Fyreslayers and Kruleboyz Monsta-killaz, and you can whet your appetite for the upcoming Legions Imperialis in an early battle report.

Each copy of issue 493 also comes with card inserts, including a dial card to represent the balance of power in The Slidecrown Sundering club campaign, Bunker achievement cards, a paint recipe card and a double-sided card featuring the Bunker scenarios of the month for Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000.

White Dwarf is always a fun pickup to get further into the hobby, and if you play Tyranids, you may want to grab this one!

A ton of products make up next week’s new release lineup, spotlighting Horus Heres, again for a two-week pre-order; here are all the details from Warhammer Community.

Exemplary Battles of the Age of Darkness: Volume I Retail Price: $60 45 € £35 (GW Webstore Direct)

This 112-page hardback is the next expansion for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. It features updates to Exemplary Battles from the previous edition of the game, with reworked missions and revised unit profiles, as well as an entirely new Exemplary Battle. You’ll also find army rules for a corrupted Emperor’s Children Legiones Hereticus force, and rules for the incredible Fulgrim Transfigured miniature. It will be available as an ePub if you prefer to take digital versions with you when you play.

It looks like this will be the beginning of the third legion’s descent into madness, rules-wise, with all the details on that Fulgrim Transfigured miniature that we hope to see released soon!

Legiones Astartes Battle Group Retail Price: $210 160 € £125

This set includes the following:
– 30x MKIII ‘Iron’ Pattern Power Armour Space Marine Legionaries
– 1x Deredeo Dreadnought – Anvilus Configuration
– 1x Land Raider Proteus
– 2x Legiones Astartes Infantry Transfer Sheets
– 2x Legiones Astartes Vehicle Transfer Sheets
– 1x Legion Special Weapons Frame including 5 plasma guns, 5 volkite chargers, 5 volkite calivers, 5 flamers, 5 meltaguns, and 5 rotor cannons

This multipart plastic kit contains 927 plastic components, and is supplied with 30x Citadel 32mm Round Bases, 1x Citadel 80mm Round Base, two Legiones Astartes Infantry Transfer Sheets, each containing 293 transfers, and two Legiones Astartes Vehicle Transfer Sheets, each containing 44 transfers.

These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly

The value on this box is pretty wild and definitely worth a pickup for just the sheer number of models inside, not to mention the savings.

Legiones Astartes MKIII Tactical Squad Retail Price: $75 60 € £45

These models have no Legion markings, allowing Warhammer hobbyists to paint them in whichever colours they choose. However, the box includes a transfer sheet with 293 optional markings and iconography for the Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists Legions.

This multipart plastic kit contains 368 plastic components, and is supplied with 20x Citadel 32mm Round Bases and 1x Legiones Astartes Infantry Transfer Sheet. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly

Just like we saw with the MKVI Beakies and other armor variants, the MKIII will also be available in a 20-pack as well!

Legiones Astartes Deredeo Dreadnought (Anvilus Configuration) Retail Price: $80 65 € £50

This multipart plastic kit comprises 166 plastic components, and comes with a Citadel 80mm Round Base and a Legiones Astartes Vehicle Transfer Sheet, containing 44 optional markings and icons for the Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists Legions. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly

Another port over from Forge World Resin, the Deredeo, is coming in both plasma and Autocannon variants!

Warhammer Commemorative Series – Leagues of Votann: The Ancestors’ Wrath $38 31.50 € £24 (MTO)

This kit contains 26 plastic components, and 1x Citadel 40mm Round Base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly

The official Warhammer Day miniature, this time for the Leagues of Votann, seems to be skipping the big day by a few weeks. This model will be available on made-to-order starting November 6th for delivery in April 2024.

Stormvault Skirmish Case Retail Price: $60 45 € £35

The Stormvault Skirmish Case is ideal for transporting and protecting your Citadel miniatures. The revolutionary miniature shock absorption system has been specially designed to fit skirmish squad-size collections quickly and easily without the chore of cutting and shaping foam to fit.

Another highly memed Games Workshop product, this case may or may not turn out to be a hit depending on its price point.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader (Book) Print on Demand: $65 55 € £40

Take a trip down memory lane, and get a fascinating glimpse into the rich history of the game with this faithful reprint of the original edition of Warhammer 40,000, first released in 1987.

Previously only available to purchase at Warhammer World, this 288-pageWarhammer 40,000: Rogue Traderbook will be available on a Print on Demand basis until 8am BST on Monday the 23rd of October 2023 and will ship within 180 days of the ordering window closing. Make sure to secure this must-have collectors item while you can!

Print on demand seems to be a Monday release thing as of late, but adding this book to your collection is worth the wait! Look for delivery in April 2024, according to their 180-day estimate.
