gw-tournamentsTickets are on sale for two of the upcoming 2022 US Open Series and the other three dates have been announced!

If you missed out last year, or just want to play some GW events, they have expanded the schedule this year with 5 different events.

Warhammer Community just posted where you can buy the tickets and more info on the events, including the minis you can score. The five events are increasing the schedule from the three tournaments we saw last year. Let’s check out the schedule!

GW Announces 2022 US Open Series Schedule

Us Open Series

If you were lucky enough to attend last year’s events, or followed the coverage online, you’ll know the US Open is held in epic, gorgeous settings. To make sure the Warhammer love is spread far and wide, the Events Team have been hard at work booking five incredible new locations for 2022 – Seattle, San Diego, Chicago, Kansas City, and all culminating with a Grand Narrative event and the tournament finale at a fancy resort on the banks of the Rio Grande in New Mexico.

Each of the four main US Open events features headline Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar Grand Tournaments and Narrative Events, in which Chapter Masters, Autarchs, Generals, and Warlords from across the nation come together for three days of hobby bliss.

With more tournaments than last year, it will be a tough task to get to the finals, but will be quite the journey! Two of the tournaments actually have tickets on sale now, we’ll check those out below. For the other three events, all they say is the tickets will be available soon. Here’s a full list of the events:

  • US Open Seattle 2022 May 6th – May 8th
  • US Open San Diego 2022 June 9th – June 12th
  • US Open Chicago 2022 October 6th – October 9th
  • US Open Kansas City 2022 October 27th – October 30th
  • Grand Narrative & US Open Finale 2022 New Mexico November 17th – November 20th

Us Open Series 2

You can get your tickets to the event here!

Us Open Series 3

Just 15 minutes from the airport, the legendary San Diego Zoo, and the beach, the beautifully renovated Town and Country Resort in downtown San Diego is definitely not to be missed.

You can get your tickets to the event here!

We’ll keep an eye open for when tickets go on sale for the next three but should be before too long. Let’s check out the exclusive minis you can score there.

Exclusive Minis You can Score

exclusive Minis

For Warhammer 40,000 comes the sword-swinging Primaris Company Champion. These formidable warriors of the Adeptus Astartes defend their chapter’s honour on the battlefield, armed with a devastating master-crafted power sword and skills honed over countless duels.

exclusive Minis 2

The Primaris Company Champion even has an entirely new datasheet for use in Legends games of Warhammer 40,000, loaded with three deadly Blade Stances. You can also use him in other games, perhaps as a particularly cool squad leader, or even the Emperor’s Champion.

While this exclusive Space Marines Primaris company champion doesn’t have a set role in regular 40k games, it would make for a ton of really cool proxies, and since it’s a GW product, nobody can hassle you for it. It’s an interesting mini but not the wildest thing we’ve ever seen.

You’ll be able to acquire these miniatures at Warhammer events throughout 2022 – such as AdeptiCon, which is taking place from the 23rd to the 27th of March in Schaumburg, Illinois.

If you’re going to the event and want either, better to pick it up there instead of trying to fight for it on the secondary market.

Exclusive Swampcalla Shaman

exclusive Minis 3

For Warhammer Age of Sigmar, meet Mugruk Da Watcha! This Swampcalla Shaman believes he’s found a new way of observing the battlefield using a special seeing-eye rock, but it’s really nothing more than a neat hat.

exclusive Minis 4

Wearing a blindfold won’t keep this malodorous mage from getting stuck in with a bogbark staff and he’s brewing up a bevy of elixirs to empower the venom-tipped weapons of his fellow Kruleboyz. Mugruk isn’t accompanied by a pot grot, but he can still jab at foes with his own backup stabba.

This is actually a really cool mini! While the pose is sort of static, it more than makes up for it in detail. Plus, it’s not a Stormcast! Which we’ve seen so many exclusive minis for them, it’s just nice to see something else.
