RUMORS: Summers Final Warhammer Releases Are Bangers

chaos rumors new wal hor warhammer games workshopRumors say the final new Warhammer 40k and AoS releases for the summer will be bangers as hobbyists have been waiting for these products for months!

Releases have been pretty slow for both AoS and 40k over the last month perhaps due in part to severe warehouse delays with Games Workshop.

Now according to these rumors, things are about to pick up quite soon! Obviously, these are rumors, so take them with as much salt as you need; however, considering both of these have been new releases and have been on deck for months, it’s not too crazy.

We’ve already seen the army box and cards leaked for Cities of Sigmar, so it means they have sent out the cards to influencers already, and that’s generally a couple of weeks or (in this case a month and change) ahead of the main release, so it may pan out just like the rumors say…

New Release RUMORS Cities of Sigmar, Tyranids on Deck Next

These final new release rumors for Warhammer 40k Tyranids, Age of Sigmar Cities and Iron Jaws come from Bolter and Chainsword.

On the AOS board The Grand Alliance’s Rumour Thread, a poster (Elarin) has leaked some general information about more Iron Jawz models coming with the next narrative book. This leak was vetted by a known poster with inside information (Whitefang), but the leaker had already mentioned (as potential proof of their validity) that the Kill Teams were going to be going up for pre-order.

They have gone on to say: “Now it’s Cities of Sigmar next week and Tyranids after that.”

Another poster went on to say the following in regards to a summary of those rumors:

So I guess assumed release schedule is something like this ?

August 18 kill team week
August 25 cities of Sigmar launch box
Sept 1 Tyranids codex
Sept 8 ??
Sept 15 ??
Sept 22 IRONJAWZ /dawnbringer 2
Sept 29
October

kill team striking scorpions vs primaris scouts ???
spacemarines??
legion imperialis ??

November cities of Sigmar
December army boxes
January flesh eater courts

AoS Book Roadmap 2023

Let’s start with the Iron Jawz. This is nothing too crazy, as they are next on the AoS roadmap after the Cities of Sigmar book, and GW said each one would bring new models. So, this isn’t too crazy.

But let’s get to the release schedule.

First up, the rumors say the Cities of Sigmar are next week’s pre-order (which would make many folks happy at this point). We will most likely see the army box first, which makes sense if GW wants anytime for this release to breathe before the new 40k stuff comes out.

However, they have a ton of models, meaning we could see the army box this week and then individual releases the week after. There is also a chance that they do a two-week pre-order for the army box and then follow up with a week of new individual kits. This would lead them into September and then Tyranids.

10th edition year 1 roadmap

Considering Tyranids won the Ogrham Campaign and the fact that they are on top of the graphic here, it would make perfect sense for them to have a release right after that. For the previous two editions, the first releases and codexes dropped in October, but with the lack of releases thus far in general for 10th, it would be nice to see new Tyranids drop in early September.

If GW wants to keep the roadmap on schedule, they more or less have to release Tyranids across mid-September and then release Space Marines in October. So, we will most likely see the next two weeks focused on the Cities of Sigmar and then the following weeks being Tyranids.

Nids have tons of new models, so don’t be surprised to see their kits on pre-order for a few different weeks in a row, either.
