primaris book cover hor space marine walGW isn’t done with the surprises yet, and just revealed two new action figures that are on the way for 9th Edition 40k! Yes, really!

Warhammer Community announced that they’ve been working with McFarlane Toys to bring us even more action figures. As we move into a Necron and Primaris-focused 9th Edition, check out the two latest action figures to be revealed.

Don’t forget that this isn’t the first time we’ve seen McFarlane Toys partner with GW. We saw them also reveal an affordable Primaris Intercessor a while back.

GW Announces Space Marine & Necron Action Figures

That’s right, MORE new action figures! Each of these 7” figures features 22-point Ultra Articulation, a base for easy posing, detailed weapons, squad insignia, and an awesome Warhammer 40,000-themed window box.*

The chainsword Intercessor Sergeant from the video teaser has made his way into real life in the form of an action figure.

It’s not been shown but you’ll also get a Scarab with this guy!

Even More is Coming From McFarlane: Paintable Intercessor

We saw this guy pre-painted up as an Ultramarine in the 2020 Toy Fair but good news! If you play a Chapter outside of Guilliman’s grasp, you’ll be able to eventually get your hands on a blank version.

Yes, you can paint your own. This initial wave also includes an unpainted Space Marine Primaris Intercessor armed with a Bolt Rifle, ready to be recruited into your favourite Chapter.

Interestingly enough, while the Assault Marine and Necron are listed on Amazon, the blank Primaris figure still hasn’t been spotted yet.

Comparing McFarlane To Bandai

spawn vs bandaiWe took Spawn from Mcfarlane (excuse the packing peanut stains on the cape- they clean up nicely with goo-gone) and compared it to Bandai’s Space Marine. you can get an idea of the scale and quality between the two figures and brands above!

If you want to see more, check out GW’s other partnership with Bandai as we review their pre-painted limited release Marine below.

The hobby goodness just keeps on coming! Here’s another future release from GW that slipped under the radar.

What do you think about the new action figures coming from McFarlane Toys? Will you be getting both? Which Chapter will you be painting your Intercessor as?
